Does this update (v33 downloaded officially) from Zelda BoTW (retail disc) patches Browser and Haxchi exploits?

I see thanks. I'm actually asking because when the game began to be sold in Europe (before the official release date), there was a rumor saying that the Wii U needs to be updated before playing the game. I just wanna know if that's true.

It was just a rumor: i think Tendo has decided to totally flee their wii u to center on the switch

It's because the game actually tells you it's a system update. I'm guessing it was done this way because of how the update is bundled on the disc like a system update, so for all intents and purposes, it appears to be one even though it isn't.
