When I test this at lunch; I downloaded SMB from Nintendo. Do I LEAVE it on the Wii and put this on the SD card, or do I delete SMB first and then launch it? Should I copy it to the Wii or launch off SD card?

same thing again with the one from your new link.

Loaded mario 1 from sd card, picks up where the game left off.

reset software> still mario 1.

If the app in the content bin has been replaced, why the heck is it still loading mario 1?
Its not on my actual wii anymore, and the one on my sd card is now your content.bin.

I'd double check you uploaded the right one.

Just double checked it and it works on mine..... perhaps your savegame? LOL I guess it could be it, I'm at a loss for that though. Maybe copy your gamesave to the SD.

I assume it's about wii loading the game you want to play to nand. It keeps it there 'till you load another game. So go ahead and do that.

@starter: So you've gotten this to work on your own wii?

Yes, I have gotten this to work on my Wii. I'll upload a video in a few minutes once I have a chance to make one.

It will probably need to be custom made for every wii. Perhaps an application you insert your original data.bin or whatever and it'll create you a hacked one? In distant future of course but but..

Edit: Perhaps it was content.bin..?

I think we have to compare 2 dumps (data.bin) from 2 Wii´s and see whats different.

Each one from every Wii is completely different because the key used to encrypt it is different for every Wii.

Already done that. Unless the person has an Xyzzy key dump then it wont really do any good. So far...

Mad Mike said it before I could.

How do they get Xyzzy keys on an un modded Wii ?

Can the OP maybe post more details of what he has actually done, because to me this sounds all wrong and won't work in soooo many ways.

Thats why it was a test.... I said it worked on mine, but thats because the original game dump was from my Wii, and I have my keys from way back. I'll post a PoC video in a second, but this doesn't seem to be going anywhere. Sad, it seemed so promising at first.

If anyone wants to try and find "the new exploit" I suggest looking at how banners are read, the message board, and the photo channel.

BUT... many people waaaaaaaaaay more experienced than anyone reading this have tried sooo many points of attack, that most have became exhausted.

If you do want to continue to use a channel based idea, I'd suggest trying to run code from a save file as TT have proved to work. It wouldn't need re-signing then.

Gutted at the lost hope here tbo, feel like I've wasted my time reading, and replying twice to this.

Good luck to anyone trying to find an exploit.
