Just got Tekken today. if anyone else gets it and wants some competition add me! FC is 1160-9873-4127. please pm me iff you add me so I can add you.

Also if any mods are reading this.....maybe a tekken night or tourney soon?

Me. But for some reason, I don't add random strangers to my 3DS.

Just a question, had you already unlocked the costume color customization? It seem it is locked to default when entering that option.

Is game good? I wanna buy it soon... Arenas on trailers looks a little empty and looks like this is Tekken6 port.

But it's Tekken after all...

I'll be getting it, when it comes out in AUS, 23rd or something (should double check),

i got it, the screens that have been passed around don't really do it justice. my only wish is that there's no story mode (we should all know them by heart now, but it would have been nice lol)

Just found the answer today. It seems that you have to level up your rank to gain color costumes. So unlocking all the colors will make you play ALL of the characters, whether you like it or not. :)

lol...so you could play the same thing over and over until the whole game is unlocked :) ?!

Just the colors. The other survival modes can be unlocked after you have finished the hardest available mode.

Online is apparently laggy. No way I'm buying it until Namco fixes it.

Yes, it is very laggy for me. But that is just for one sample. Haven't tested further because the lack of players that are online.

Game looks visually nice but doesn't seem worth the $40. Seems like a sub $20 game without story mode and arcade, not to mention no customization. Considered getting in future but now will not. Tekken DR for PSP set the bar for portable Tekken and I was hoping this one would top the PSP installments, 3DS is more than capable. Lazy Namco.

i saw the trailer, or should i say, a gameplay video of it.
the fighting scenes are bare and the battlefield lacks detail.

i'm sticking to DoA: Dimensions.

I am kind of regretting buying it. I've been a huge tekken fan since the first one and this is a pretty poor version. The number of characters, the character models, the moves and framerate (in single player and local multiplayer) are all top notch...and that is about where it ends. Music isnt that great, backgrounds are weak (not to mention there are only 8 of them and 2 of those are training arenas) no story mode, only 2 single player modes and one of those is practice, no costume customization (save for palette swapping colors which is locked for each character until you level up their rank...a lot) and wi fi multiplayer is indeed laggy. Most of the matches will have you fighting in slow motion. This really makes juggling difficult unless you make use of the, cheezy, cheap touch screen buttons which you can program with moves and simple combos.

All in all this is definitely not worth the 40 bucks I paid for it. unless 20 of that is for the 3d movie included...which is not worth that much.

Shame on you namco.

I knew something was wrong with this version. I just bought Street Fighter IV 3D for 10 gbp in Amazon UK. I think that's a good deal. SF4 port isn't that great too (static arenas), but it's a lot cheaper than poor Tekken version.

the game is only worth $20 dollars imo. i mean hell DOA has more better modes then this... i bet we will see a price drop in a few months.

hmm. i was kinda hyped, but all this rather disappointing comments... only 1 single player mode? then there's virtually no motivation to play single player then than to unlock palette swaps? not even SF4 style of alternate costumes (with really different models)?

maybe not utter shit.....but close. Definitely not shovelware, but not worth the 40 dollar price tag either.
