I have hombrewed my New 3DS XL recently, so far so good everything done following up to date procedures and guides. No issues.
I wanted to play a ROM hack for Pokémon Platinum. It is called Pokémon Following Platinum.
It is Basically a ROM hack for Pokemon platinum that adds Pokemon following you in the overworld, just as HGSS.
So I obtained my copy of Pokemon platinum and patched with the xdelta patch.
The ROM hack does work as intended because I have been playing with a flashcard without issues for more than 10h.
This time I installed the ROM with NDSforwarder and I played 50 minutes smoothly. But now the game crashes always when I speak to Barry in Jubilife City.
I have tried to solve this using different methods I have read in other treads here, on Reddit and GitHub.
I formatted my SD following the procedure posted on the 3DS homebrew webpage.
I tried obtaining a "clean" ROM but I got the same issues, also Pokemon platinum does NOT need an AP patch.
I also tried to launch the game trough Twilight Menu ++ and I have got the same results.
The crash is a red screen with DATA ABORT as title. I can post a screenshot if anyone thinks it will be useful.
Let me add, if I launch the same game WITHOUT the patch the game does NOT crash.
I would really like to play this ROM hack, so any help or tips would be greatly appreciated.
