I don't see a reason why the "GUI" is necessary, especially since you can just drag and drop payload binaries to the original exe...

Uhh, right. So how do I launch Linux with this? It says it needs a payload bin file.Get the easy-to-use binaries at https://switchtools.sshnuke.net
Make sure to read the README.txt for how to use/install drivers.
(Source available on https://github.com/rajkosto/TegraRcmSmash if you want to compile it yourself)
ah sorry m8 its not necessary just more easy for myself. did not toke much time i can delete it if you don't like it or plan to have a GUI yourselfI don't see a reason why the "GUI" is necessary, especially since you can just drag and drop payload binaries to the original exe...
If you need it explained to you, you probably shouldn't even try tbh.Uhh, right. So how do I launch Linux with this? It says it needs a payload bin file.
Might as well never ask again. Thanks for the help.If you need it explained to you, you probably shouldn't even try tbh.
I'm sorry but that's just kinda how it is right now. It is not user friendly in the slightest, and we can't (or at least won't) handhold you through the entire process. If you absolutely want to try to figure it out there already is a thread that tells you what to do, but I still don't recommend it to most people because it's a pain and will require Linux to compile everything and get it all working.Might as well never ask again. I'm done with everything. I flashed my sd card.I'm sorry but that's just kinda how it is right now. I would just wait until we get something a bit more user friendly
I literally just need a way to launch the stuff on my sd card.I'm sorry but that's just kinda how it is right now. This is a Windows binary (.exe) so that you run the Fusee Gelee payload (or others) straight from Windows, NO more will additional OS like Mac or Linux be required to run it.Uhh, right. So how do I launch Linux with this? It says it needs a payload bin file.
I'm unsure if anything other than shofel2 supports sdmmc (loading payloads from SD). You may need to use shofel2 instead of this.I'm done with everything. I flashed my sd card.

Run Linux, on the switch, with the RCM exploitThis is a Windows binary (.exe) so that you run the Fusee Gelee payload (or others) straight from Windows, no additional OS like Mac or Linux required.

Why are so many people asking how to launch Linux with this, seriously?
Like really, the title says it:
"Tegra RCM Smash - A Fusee launcher for Windows"
It doesn't say anything about Linux anywhere, does it?
Really people, just read the OP or even the title, please.
It just baffles me why is everyone asking to run Linux with this.
Oh well. I had trouble with ShofEl2. Might aswell just wait until some better solution comes out.I'm unsure if anything other than shofel2 supports sdmmc (loading payloads from SD). You may need to use shofel2 instead of this.
Yeah I started trying to get it running but gave up. The only thing I really want to do with it right now anyway is make a nand dumpOh well. I had trouble with ShofEl2. Might aswell just wait until some better solution comes out.
Gonna wait til Summer for the real stuff to come out.Yeah I started trying to get it running but gave up. The only thing I really want to do with it right now anyway is make a nand dump
I'm also scared of frying my Switch by accidentally grounding pin 4.Yeah I started trying to get it running but gave up. The only thing I really want to do with it right now anyway is make a nand dump
In Linux you can just dump it with software using terminal commandsI'm also scared of frying my Switch by accidentally grounding pin 4.
How can you make a NAND Dump?
People who have spent a lot of time in linux seem to be having a lot of battery calibration issues too.Yeah I started trying to get it running but gave up. The only thing I really want to do with it right now anyway is make a nand dump
some people just like a nice gui to do stuff in man, that's how it isI don't see a reason why the "GUI" is necessary, especially since you can just drag and drop payload binaries to the original exe...
MacOS is a unix system not linux. Do not spread misinformation.MAC is based on linux, so I'm sure it's possible. Windows 10 also has a Linux terminal you can install in the native OS. I haven't fooled around with all of this yet since there's no reason for me to until CFW is released anyway to know how MAC/Win10 terminals can handle what's needed though.
