To preface, I'm 18.I know that the USA are very highly ignorant of anything older or not concerning their country
While I wouldn't say you're wrong with the majority of Americans, but I know plenty of exceptions including myself. I grew up playing classic games like Space Invaders, Donkey Kong, Pitfall, Burgertime, Dragon's Lair. My first OS I mainly used was XP and I used it for many many years. I also have a computer with Windows 95 on it that I use for Gameshark hacking on my Nintendo 64. I also have an Atari 2600, 7200, NES, SNES, Virtual Boy, etc. I'm learning Japanese as well, and I am very interested in other cultures besides the US. I'm going to be studying abroad in Japan as well, and I hope to eventually live overseas for a while.
...this post kinda just turned into me defending myself against the stereotype.
Anywho, your not wrong that a lot of people are that way, but not everyone is.
