So, I showed some of my year group the picture I have on my VirtualBox XP installation, set up the desktop.
Only two people out of around nine people were actually able to recognise that it was from Space Invaders, and neither of them were able to answer within a few seconds.
It makes me worry that the generation of teenagers is growing more ignorant in the UK (I know that the USA are very highly ignorant of anything older or not concerning their country), and I feel classics will be completely unknown to a higher extent by the time of 2020.
Around four recognised it was Windows XP, however.
Anyone else feel the way?
(I already posted this on 101gamers but decided to also post it here for more discussion)
