Moonlight as homebrew? i wanted to start compiling a port but i thought it wouldn't run well because we have no hw acceleration on homebrew

Could you elaborate a bit please? Moonlight on switch would be huge! :D

We have ARM NEON instruction set from what I know so h264 should be just fine.

Anyway whats stopping moonlight right now are some libnx non blocking socket IO bugs, which we are just figuring out

People want to experiment and test emulators. (I don't think your screen can get fried... wasn't it patched?)
No, I now have a small blue burn-in on my screen after using Linux (lakka).
Fortunately, I acknowledged that this may happen so I totally expected to see some burn-ins in my lcd.
Will order a new lcd panel soon.
EDIT: Forgot to add that the LCD damage in my switch (the burn-in) is permanent.

Is it really permanent ? Will it not fade off eventually ?
Nope, I have it for almost a month now.

See that blue spot in the upper middle? That's the burn-in.

Well, I'm sorry to hear that. You're the second person reporting a burn in after using Linux AFAIK
It's ok, as I said I totally expected this to happen, I don't blame you nor any other dev as I took responsibility for my device and acknowledged all the possible risks. Keep up the good work! :)

How long did it take for the screen to burn in ? Did you leave it on the home menu for a very long time?
I have this burn-in for almost a month so I don't actually remember how much time I kept my screen on, but I do remember it was open on the home menu and can also guarantee that the screen was on for a short period of time as I always make sure to not keep my screens on, so not more than ~4 minutes.

Wow.. this screen burn in issue and the battery desync are two massive trade offs to fiddle around with a WIP / no sound lakka.

Screen burn-ins cannot be fixed, I don't know who told you that. Even on Horizon you can have burn ins if you stay a long time on the same screen. However, some graphics can cause more burn ins that others (the first version of hbmenu had graphics which caused a lot of burn-ins for instance).
