This isn't a matter of "legal vs illegal". This is literally asking them to break the law. There's no "technical" GPL exemption clause saving TX. There is no "it's not a bribe". It's flat out scumbags being dirty. No water muddying.

Unfortunately it seems TX from the onset was not / is not willing to get along with the community.
Yet all the profit they've made / are actually making came from the same community.
It is one thing to be morally wrong but it is anither thing to try and corrupt others for your own interests.
Kudos to @m4xw for his integrity and selfless efforts towards the community. Guys like him are what keeps many coming back and enjoying thjs community.

I'm also not the only one who posted in this thread asking for actual evidence. I know it's a popular thing on GBAtemp to jump on bandwagons with pitchforks but in the real world we have to make decisions more carefully based on actual evidence.

2 official people giving an explanation is enough evidence for me. Nothing to do with jumping on a bandwagon when 2 official people that have everything to do with the topic at hand comment in this thread giving out more of an explanation. And again, having received emails from TX in the past I know how poor their English is so it could easily be a misunderstanding by the dev.

I'm not saying it's true, just that I personally prefer to see evidence before making a judgement. It's way too common for threads on GBAtemp to go crazy when the initial assumption wasn't even true. Based on TX history though, I wouldn't be surprised and not to mention it's not seen as unusual for business in China to run this way.
