DO IT DO IT NOW.
I'm not sure... I don't want to do it and have another "Seems like you're a pirate" Incident again.
Can anyone confirm it doesn't brick pirates or anything?
IT is done!
Yeah it's fine, just run it.
Done already..that was quick..around 10 Seconds .
Did my part as well.
Done, hopefully bootmii will come out soon.
BootMii is essentially done.
All it needs is an installer, and they want to release applications that USE it.
Someone remind me what BootMii is please...
bootmii is an aplacation simmiler to preloader, but instead of replacing the system menu dol is just installs into the boot1 so it will be possible to recover from almost every brick...
i wonder if marcan is really going to implement a anti piracy thing... we'll see ;-)
but whatever happens, bootmii is going to be great!
Wrong it's not boot1 it's boot2 unless I'm mistaken boot1 can't be modified
i've done my part... can't wait for bootmii...
BootMii overwrites boot2. Boot0 and boot1 can't be touched.
There are no plans to add anti-piracy, just since you're not running a IOS on BootMii the applications will need to be changed.
You're right. Boot2 is vulnerable to the fakesign bug, where boot1 is invulnerable
Ok, here's how I think it goes.
Boot 0 isn't in writable memory, so it's untouchable. It loads Boot 1.
Boot 1 is also in non-writable memory. It loads boot 2, BUT it uses the very same verification method that has the signing bug. So boot 2 can be fakesigned and boot 1 will happily load it.
