2cdd here, so I am happy about that. Sorry to everyone that has a f01e boot1, but I am sure that TT will do whatever they can to find a way to make it work.

Someone needs to figure out the process to decrypt an older Wii NAND dump, program it with the newer Wii's console ID and then re-encrypt it with the newer Wii's keys and upload it back onto a new Wii using something like an Infectus. Any takers, lol?

You can only fake-sign it this way. And since the f-boot1 (which is hard-coded in ROM) won't accept fake-signed boot2, you're bust.

Still seems easier to swap your Wii with your spoiled nephew's one that he got at launch

Truth be told the fake signing is the major hurtle to get past......... While the newer boot 1 is a tighter security system than the older version I very much doubt Nintendo has fixed all the holes in it. That just wouldn't be like them. lol Either way if there is a way to break the new security checks I'm sure these guys will find it.

As for the boot 2 v4 marcan has received the files I sent him to look over and hopefully they can find something interesting.

Funny you should mention that, already got a plan for a motherboard swap in the works, lol

I wanted to put in my new philips head replacement screws anyway.
