I've been wanting to do a video series of Minecraft's survival mode for a while, and I finally got to it.

I have 3 episodes up on YouTube currently, with 1 more coming tonight (Maybe more). It's basically just me playing through a Minecraft world I generated today, and every action I make on it, meaning I'll only play on that world when recording.

I don't really know if this is considered advertising or not, but since I really don't want to do a blog for updates, I'm going to count these as video updates.

Anyway, my YouTube channel is here: http://www.youtube.com/user/AnimalCrossingX

The first video can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0tW43s9oXz8

Thanks to anyone who watches. I don't care if you subscribe or not, just want to put these up since I like Minecraft so much.

Subscribed! I love Minecraft. I made a home out of a random mountain and a roller coaster in front of it.

As a side note, I'd like to say that after I get 500 posts and can put a message under the ribbons, I'll write "GBAtemp's OTHER Minecraft addict."

Thanks! Yeah, the game gets addicting fast, and really brings out the creative side in people. I find myself not wanting to go to sleep because I don't want to stop building something awesome.

Also, I upload another new video, and one is currently uploading. I have 5 more ready to upload after that.

Anyway.
Make a underwater base.
I was thinking about it, maybe if I relocated eventually to a different area farther away I would.

hey TDWP ,
everywhere on Youtube, all i find now are Minecraft videos O_O .
it's like the new CoD or something xD.

is it really worth it to buy ?
or did you just DL it ...?
and also, what genre would you classify it ?

It's definitely worth the money, and by that, I'm sure you can tell that I bought it. I never thought once about pirating it actually, since it's too awesome.

Also, I'd classify it as a Sandbox game. If you want a more widened genre, then I'd say Adventure. So much stuff to do, and it seems like you're on an adventure of your own.

It'd be "fun" genre.
You can pirate Minecraft Alpha, but you can't go online. Good to test if you like the game though.

But to sum it up: Mine shit, build shit, kill shit, survive.

I think every person ever has mined for 6 hours straight and then randomly exclaimed "HOW THE F*CK IS THIS SO FUN?!"

The game will REALLY shine for its multiplayer once multiplayer works better. (IE: game takes less resources, less stuff causes memory leaks, HP works properly, monsters work properly, redstone (electrical system) works properly).
The PvP potential is pretty high. I can see it being really, really fun to build your own stuff, and then find elaborate ways to protect it from invaders.

Oh God yes. I find myself mining non-stop, and I look at the clock on my computer, and it's like 3 hours later from the last time I checked.

Speaking of mining, the next few episodes (It'll probably be at least 10, so I'll make it special sort of...Not really) are of mining. I have yet to edit them and add titles and stuff, but I have the footage. It's like 25 minutes of near straight mining. I even find some diamond.

EDIT: Splych, the game is $13USD currently, but it's half-off until the beta.
