My team right now:
Spada- me
Ange - healer + dps
and herm - combo monster! (I got lucky too and got Mythril fist weapon)

It was so easy to kill I rised the lvl of difficulty to gain faster lvls and styles.

For anyone that found Chien (Dog Boy) hard, you'll fight him again, but the second time he's MUCH easier. I used Ricardo with Luca and Spada both set to target different enemies than me, then got a nice distance away and pumped both dogs full of lead, making it extremely easy to finish off Chien. Not only does knowing what to expect help, but I don't think his stats in round 2 are that much higher than they were the first time.

Im stuck in the cavern under Regnum...

When i wanna go out, i need to defeat Chien(Dog boy, BOSS) but i keep failing...
Maybe because I dont use items so often... dno why..

After I escaped from the sewers, im gonna do some side quests...
I need better equipment i think...
But i keep getting crappy items

Don't think I can help with where to go next, as I'm only about four hours in myself, but as far as farming goes, Tales games generally don't offer loot in the sense of something like Phantasy Star or Demon's Souls. There is specific gear you can acquire in chests or buy from merchants, but unless this game tries something completely new, drops will generally include gald, gels, and other similar items.

You can get some pretty good gear in guild dungeons, but it's random. I never find anything good in 'em, and i've done a lot of guild quests.

The Hasta battle for the 2nd time was a complete joke with Iria and Ricardo. Just get some distance, shoot.

Kinda sucks how he oneshots my Luca and Hermana with a single combo.

Nope everyone is playing with japanese text....
durrrr.

You must have played a LOT to beat it in a few days. If you found it too easy, they invented different difficulties for just such an occasion. Like me, i'm playing on hard mode to make it more fun. (first playthrough).

How is the game starting over when you beat it lame? Better then being stuck with nothing to do at the start of the game, or not being given the option to start over at all.
New games are for completion sake mostly.

I'm having trouble with first Chien fight as well, though I'm playing on Mania difficulty. Dogs are instant kill from what I can see.
A fellow Mania player huh?
Wait until a bit later in the game, the Chien fight seems so easy in comparison later on.

I just got to the tropical town, game is pretty fun. I pretty much suck though, playing on normal and once in awhile a random encounter will still kill me.

Just completed the game. The ending is really good!
However, I'm not gonna do another second playthrough until I have all grade equipment.
How long did it take you?

I just destroyed the two bosses on the boat.

I like this game, but ... the stoyr & character hasnt impressed me at all, I would rank this as my least among my favorite TO games.

Also, backtracking in dungeons sucks...

Tales of Hearts seems more like my cup of tea.

Dungeons are awful (for someone with lousy short term memory like me this is hell), story is okay, characters are awesome and funny and the battle system is incredibly fun which I enjoy using every character in it.
