You CANNOT get into BootMii if it is installed as an IOS. You just can't. Now, SaveMiiFrii I remember I could autoboot on when I had cIOSCORP. I've since removed it. As far as I am concerned you cannot use SaveMiiFrii.

So, what then? Get a modchip that will let me jump straight to the homebrew channel using a disc? Cause from what I understand, I'm not completely SOL.

Mkay. So that method is out. Is there any way I can do this? I don't care if I lose data or have to buy a modchip. As long as I didn't turn my Wii into a $250 paperweight.

SaveMii(Frii) should work, as there was no damage done to the System Menu or the System Menu IOS directly.
he needs a modchip or cIOScorp
To use SaveMiiFrii? Well no, I have neither cIOSCORP nor a modchip and can get into SaveMiiFrii. It might be true that you need a modchip to run specific discs from SMF, but itself works without any. So don't lie and/or give the correct statements.

So the general consensus is SaveMiiFrii? Kay. Thanks, everyone. Where can I get that? Is it hardware or software? I just took a deep sigh of relief. Thanks so much!

Edit:
Meh. SaveMiiFrii didn't work. I'm sending the thing to Ninty to have it repaired. Oh well. Thanks anyway, everyone. Happy 2010!

A Drivekey should do it for you, but if you got a D3-2 drive, then its of to nintendo.

What about a drivechip? Would something like SaveMii work?

A drive chip only modifies your DVD drive. It does nothing for the main system. A drive chip only allows you to run backup's or burned discs. It is very limited in recovery mode. If you haven't installed preloader, any system menu hacks that allow you to enter recovery mode without savemefrii, or installed bootmii either as an IOS or as Boot2 -- I hate to say it, you've been careless and it caught up to you.. Let it be a lesson learned. As everyone has been saying, your system is boned.

Okay I remember installing BootMii to either boot2 or ios recently, and I haven't updated from Nintendo since. Chances are it's still there. Is there any way to boot to it using SD card files or a button on the Wii like with Preloader?

The IOS version is useless for brick protection unless you have preloader. When the wii is turned on, does the disc slot flash few times? If so, bootmii is installed as boot2, but the files are missing and you need to put them on your SD.

If you don't have a D3-2 drive, and get a chip which can autoboot, you can fill the NAND full by burning games and letting them create saves. When its full, the menu will send you to data management where you can delete the bricked channel or install Indiana Pwns if needed.

EDIT: Typo, and added D3-2 to second paragraph

Yes! When I turn the Wii on, the disc drive light flashes once, then again 4 or 5 times rapidly! So, I think I have bootmii on boot2! How and where do I get those SD card files?!

Good news, you have bootmii as boot2.

I'll PM the runtime files in a few moments.
YES! It booted to HBC! I knew I wasn't a complete moron! I knew I installed Bootmii!

Thanks for all your help, everyone!

Crappy way to start 2010, but at least there's a happy ending! *blows party horn

I'm in the wad manager removing the questionable wads now! I'ma go out on a limb and say "no more bricks for me in 2010!"

Thanks SO MUCH, everyone! Words and emoticons can't express my appreciation!!!

You're welcome.

You need to change the autoboot on bootmii though unless you want HBC at every startup. You can download the 'Bootmii Config Editor' homebrew to do that.

Yeah, I read that part elsewhere. I'll do that, but I'll keep Bootmii on the SD Card and/or backed up on my comp so this doesn't happen again! Live and learn!

BTW, nice response time on this thread, everyone! I barely had time to sneeze before I started getting replies! And on New Years Eve! You couldn't get better support from paid phone representatives! Kudos!

Well, in the words of Super Paper Mario's villainous minion Dimentio: "Ciao!"

Edit: Grammatical Error! Added Compliment.
