You CANNOT get into BootMii if it is installed as an IOS. You just can't. Now, SaveMiiFrii I remember I could autoboot on when I had cIOSCORP. I've since removed it. As far as I am concerned you cannot use SaveMiiFrii.
To use SaveMiiFrii? Well no, I have neither cIOSCORP nor a modchip and can get into SaveMiiFrii. It might be true that you need a modchip to run specific discs from SMF, but itself works without any.
