Hey does anyone know what would happen to a wii with 3.2E with CIOSCORP and starfall and DVDX that was updated to 3.4E by accident? Im selling my wii to a friend and told him not to update but just incase he does will it stuff anything up? Cheers in advance!
i removed all starfall hacks then used the preloader hack remover then i installed preloader with Davi92's hack.ini http://www.zshare.net/download/5408618355490038/
then i edited it and removed all ntsc hacks (version=289 with the values and offsets) and installed everything but the GC shite and heath screen hack
now my cioscorp'd wii plays ntsc games, the ones i tested anyway i've only got 2!! these are we ski and wii music,
EDIT
ok, i got a ntsc copy of super paper mario and wiiscrubber said the region was ntsc (i'm pal by the way) so i burnt it off and popped it in my wii and the banner showed, so i pressed start and it worked fine!!! this is the 3rd game i've tried now and they've all worked
EDIT2
how can i make a copy of NFS undercover check for updates if it been through gamma already? i wont to see if the skip hack is working too
EDIT3
i just turned off the skip update hack and booted my wii and NFS now says wii system update!!!

I have that already working...yet it still does not solve this issue with the JAP games that need the language to be Japanase.
@ ether... I do the same thing... try and think of different methods of patching the few .iso's that have these problems.. yet I don't think what you mentioned would fix JAP games from running if they were patched to ios249. Maybe, I will try this in a few minutes... I have plenty of blank dvds to test with... that was why I bought them
Anyways...so I get Donkey Kong Jungle Beats to show in disc channel when I change it to USA with RegionFrii...hitting start results in a greenscreen.
Now I will test and edit in results for RegionFrii patched with Wan's patcher to IOS249 and post.
Results:Same green screen when I run the icon over discchannel no text is displayed which of course tells me already what will most likely happen.
I read the whole Thread (from 1-40 and 60-90) and i still have some Problems.
Ok the old way:
Patch your Systemmenü to IOS249 (before that install Cios rev7 as IOS24) and install the new systemmenü with the wad manager.
You have to patch your Games with the IOSPatcher to IOS249 and reinstall Starfall/Preloader-
Okay so far so good.
Now the new way:
1. Dump your nand of your wii and get the Cios.
2. Get some IOS for example with WUFE.
Now the part i didnt understand is how to patch the IOS to a CIOS.
You have to take the DIP of the Cios and inject it into the IOS.
Okay i have here a cIOS249-64-v7.wad [1,72 MB (1.806.784 Bytes)] and IOS38-64-v3609.wad [1,84 MB (1.937.152 Bytes)].
I unpacked at first the IOS38-64-v3609.wad. with wadunpacker ( the direction is called 0000000100000026 and is 1,84 MB (1.936.668 Bytes) big).
Here i get the first error with the wadunpacker.
wad header:
unknown header type 00000000: File exists
Okay now i unpack the Cios.
The direction is called 00000001000000f9 and is 1,72 MB (1.806.324 Bytes) big.
No error while unpacking.
Now the part which is confusing me.
I get the 00000001.app [66,8 KB (68.404 Bytes)] of the Cios and replace it with the IOS38-64-v3609.wad one.
Now i pack the wad.

I get a title.wad which is 1,84 MB (1.937.088 Bytes) big.
I have the Cioscorppackage.
The CIOS38Bugfix is 1,88 MB (1.972.736 Bytes) big.
Why is my smaller.
What i am doing wrong?
Yes i can just use the Packkage but i want know, what i am doing.
Well I'm up now, and I just came to tell you, what you've already find out
I thought about it in my sleep and I knew it can't brick the Wii (I was like 75% sure) and I knew it wasn't going to work the way we expected about the backups (100% sure) cause is the launcher the one forcing the disc to be readen by IOS249, if we normaly use IOS30, any game wants to be readen by IOS36 - IOS33 - IOS35 and so on, with this is the same thing, we need an IOS supporting the SysMenu and telling him at te same time that any DVD has to be readen by IOS249 (cIOS36_r7), you all know I don't know anything about coding (beyond the hello world example) but this was what it make sense to me last night....!!!
@pika9323: I think you haven't done anything wrong, it is ok what you did, install that cIOS38 you have created and insert animal crossing to check if it works...!!!

yep but according to WiiBlaster (the WiineaPig of this project) IOS21-IOS9 can't be done like this, so you have to use Multi cIOS Installer to install cIOS36_r7 in those places >HERE

1) the order doesn't really matters, but you want to leave cIOS30 to the very end
2)IOS4 is the one that reads the update partition of a disc game, so you don't need it
3)IOS16 is only needed by all the autobootable Disc, if you don't want to IOSVersionPatch them to IOS249, install there also the cIOS36_r7
...!!!
You can also use the tool offline, just read the "readme_or_die.txt" file

1. Okay clear =)
2. Clear too thanks
3. Not clear. Anyway i just use your way to patch the ISO to 249. Maybe i can patch the IOS16 with Multi_Cios? I will have to take a look on that.
Okay i read the readme =).
It says as source. So i think i just need the files for cIOS36 and i am fine i think. =)
Thanks you are the best!
I will make some cookies soon for you =)
Edit: Okay i think now, how the made a CIOS9.
You said, that my way (wadunpacker, wadpacker etc.) dont work with that.
So i think he used the Multi_Cios installer to install the CIOS9 and dumped then his nand.
the IOS16 is only used by the Backup Disc 1.31 (pink gay fish) from "N", but some people have used that template and changed the main.dol for an AnyTD.dol or Wad Manager.dol so you can have an autobootable WadManager/AnyTD disc, but you'll need either to have a ModChip, or to change with IOSVersionPatcher the .iso so it can be readen by IOS249, but you can also install as in IOS9-21 the cIOS36_r7 in the IOS16 place, and yes you only need the files for IOS36 for the offline installation...!!!
chocolate chips on the cookies please
EDIT: actually I didn't create the CIOSCORP package, WiiBlaster did it, and that's how I know that the IOS21-9 can't be patched like that (WWadunpacker - WWadpacker) and that's why you need the Multi cIOS Intaller to install cIOS36_r7 in the place 9 - 10 - 11 - 12 - 13....... - 21, got it..??
