Hacking Sx Core and Sx Lite , test Units Received

I ordered SX Lite from Aliexpress with standard shipping and it ended up stuck in Swedish customs for almost two months. I finally got it today, and ordered it back in July. From the tracking it shipped out on July 10, reached the Netherlands on July 14 where it was repacked, then it reached Swedish customs on July 22, where it was sitting since. So the delay was entirely because of Swedish customs. The seller and the shipping before it reached Sweden was really fast. Just a heads up in case anyone from Sweden is considering ordering from Aliexpress with their standard shipping.

After its modded? Here’s what I’ve done. On the Emunand, upgrade SXOS first to latest version, install choidujournx, download Nintendo firmware from darthsternie, upgrade it using choidujournx. On the sysnand just make sure it stays clean, boot into it, and update via Nintendo in Settings.

What exactly do you mean by "make sure it stays clean" ?

Safe practice is to keep two copies of nand, sysnand is clean without piracy or homebrew, emunand has that stuff. This way when connecting to Nintendo for an update for sysnand your not connecting from a nand that is has piracy/homebrew.

Ah ok those are common knowledge precautions when dealing with Switch modding.

I thought you meant some other steps needed to be taken.

Will this be any good to try it myself?

I did mine with a chinese soldering station. I would recommend 100x getting a microscope or a magnifying glass or jeweler's glasses. I tried to eyeball at first, but I couldn't get a solid solder until I used a microscope my dad had all along. I'm 22 with great eyesight and still found those solder points way too small to eyeball.

Can sell on Craigslist If in the US. Can sell on Ebay if its a short auction or buy it now, before its pulled.

Btw. That tiny USB debug port is supposed to be installed silver parts facing upwards ot it doesnt matter ? I have seen some videos using opposite orientation so i would like to know.

same here in Greece: ordered on 15/7, arrived on 19/7 (!), went through customs on 28/7 and was delivered on that day to local post where it stayed there until yesterday (will go and get it from the post office today). I expected customs would be swamped but it seems local post is a lot worse.

As I will finally work on it now, I guess I will need to leave my system on 10.1.0 or was there a newer SX release that supports also the latest system upgrade from last week?

Edit: nvm, just saw TX have SXOS 3.0.5 that supports new firmware

Ya dont see any. Try txswitch.com. Takes a long time with regular shipping but it works. Or you can try their faster shipping

Hey all of you!
I've gone back around 20 pages, following this topic, and really appreciate the inputs given by modders.
So I just received my SX Core yesterday, and it'll be installed by a friend in a few days.

@Modificatorul your installs are so neat. Do you have a guide that you follow, which you can PM me? I'm asking about the temperature, whether the pads on the flex cable were pre tinned, etc.
