I used to read the Super Smash Bros Brawl manual constantly when my parents were using the TV. It was like getting to know the characters a little better after playing with them for so long.
Well, I was born in the 70's. Gamed all the way till now.
Got them manuals waaaaayyyyy back then and never used them (except the Zelda LTTP golden booklet for the hardest puzzles).
Modern games have an elaborate training level on the start of the game so.... noop don't need them
(they will just collect dust in the cupboard)
And they are useless too now we have the era of the incredible INTERNET
To say that manuals are pointless it still proves you don't know what you're saying.
It's not only about reducing costs. It's about being environmentally friendly.

Gosh, sorry 'bout that. So it's only specific regional/country versions that contain it.Just a heads up : got the European (German) version yesterday and there was no manual included.
Electricity is a renwable resource lmao and the digital manual isnt going to end up in a landfill once we have no use for it anymoreit still costs power to read digital manuals. and power consumption will not be green until we have fusion reactors
Since when did a manual become a luxury? A manual should always be included with stuff. I got a bluetooth speaker that had no manual, I had to figure out how to use it on my own, that is terrible. I know least games had manual included on the game, like super mario maker on wii u has a manual on disc, and on 3ds, ps3 games have it too. Yes I understand the games have enough explanation of a tutorial to use but people like manuals just as much, detailed pictures and artwork of things while reading with some creative writing to make you feel like you are trying to learn more about the game, games story plot existed in the manual, and was the only way you would know any of the back story the game never explains.

the same can be said about games themselves.Don't you love how everything has to be online? Remember when you bought something and it was 100% there on day one? now your tvs are not even 100% till they download an update.....
The mediums used to create electricity aren't always renewable though.Electricity is a renwable resource lmao and the digital manual isnt going to end up in a landfill once we have no use for it anymore

Natural gas, petroleum, nuclear energy. These aren't renewable. Once used they're gone.we aint talking about your mrs' AA's lol

its rare you can buy a game these days that don't have a day one update.
its also rare to find a game these days that focus on the campaign mode.
you pay near £50 for a 1 hour campaign and the rest is all online maps/dlc content.
Fun fact: its entirely possible to go completely clean in terms of how we obtain our electricity by switching to renewable sources like solar, wind (by putting solar panels in places too hot to be habitable by humans like in the desert, and wind farms in the middle of oceans where theres a lot of wind and no one there), however the main reason why we dont do it is because investors dont see a returnable profit from funding renewable energy sources i.e. they only care about lining their pockets instead of wanting to minize pollution Renewable energy is so great that in some countries, they accumulate so much electricity from solar and wind that these electrical companies actually pay You to use it all up!
