I don't use emuNAND, since I don't use online play, so I don't have the steps in front of me, but you should be able to follow this guide to create the emuNAND partition, and you should be able to either a.) Restore the file-based emuNAND to the emuNAND partition, or you can restore the file-based emuNAND to the sysNAND before creating the emuNAND partition. Someone else who is more familiar with emuNAND can give you more specifics.

You can install NSP files from an SD card, from your computer connected via USB, or from your computer over FTP. You can also install NSP files over the internet using something like HBG. If you choose HBG or DZ Tinfoil, this version of Tinfoil is recommended since the official version now includes malware for Atmosphere users.

If you're going to use fusee-primary with emuNAND, you need to make the proper adjustments to the configuration files for it to boot the emuNAND. If you want to easily switch between emuNAND and sysNAND, you should use Hekate instead of fusee-primary.
Wait Im having an issue where I cant installs NSPs with gold leaf 0.7.2 on hekate 5.0.2. It says Im missing sig files or have a lower version. I do not. I updated the sig patches multiple times to make sure (deleted an replaced file). I was told I had to boot fusee primary through hekate for gold leaf to work. Is it possible?

I’m on 8.1 running SX OS and for some reason SX OS isn’t seeing my Zelda NSP file on the SD Card, it’s seeing other games files but I’ve also noticed some updates don’t seem to be applying either.

Anyone got any ideas?

I don't recommend using Goldleaf because it's buggy. I recommend using this version of Tinfoil. The unpatched version of Tinfoil contains malware.

Hello there!

yesterday I decided it was time to take out my dusted 4.1.0 switch and go full haxing.

Currently I am following the guide from switch.homebrew.guide using PegaScape (Caffeine) and I am stuck at step 2: injecting fake news. When I tap the album icon, the screen shows nothing, hbmenu doesn’t load. Just the switch icon at the bottom and the (A) ok option appears but nothing else.

What do I do now? I am following the guide exactly as it says.

Thanks in advance!

Ipatched Switch on 4.1.0. Followed the guide at switch.homebrew.guide and got everything done without issue. Unless I completely missed something the guide never had me create an emummc in hekate. However, from hekate I have the option to launch cfw(emummc) which is what I used. Shouldn't that option not be there? I'm creating an emummc now but I'm confused.

Follow this guide to make an emuNAND: https://nh-server.github.io/switch-guide/user_guide/emummc/partitioning_sd/

but I dont use kosmos. I read we cant use those sigs without running kosmos. What is right lol?
How are you running Atmosphere exactly? Most people are either using fusee-primary or Kosmos. If you're using Hekate to launch Atmosphere, what are you launching? If you're using Hekate to launch fusee-primary, then you can use the signature patches you asked about as if you were using fusee-primary.

So I formatted all and downloaded the kosmos package because it seems to be the best option. Idk. Basically I inject hekate and run emunand/atmosphere. Im guessing now itll be kosmos .
I followed this guide: https://switch.homebrew.guide/gettingstarted/beforestarting

I'm going to hack my switch in a few days when my jig arrives, but before then I have some questions, I was planning on using Kosmos as I heard that it's basically just "better" atmosphere however one of the homebrew apps I was planning on running HBG (and by extension tinfoil) but recently I've been hearing some concerning things about said homebrew on reddit and here about how it reacts certain CFWs including Kosmos, potentially malicious things. Would I be better of with default Atmosphere? Or perhaps skipping those two homebrews and doing things a different way? Or am I being overly paranoid? lol

guys ive not bought a switch yet, but i wondered is there a way to tell what firmware is on the switch before opening. I see the easy way to see which ones are patcvhed and unpatched, but just wondering about the firmware?
