Use USB install with Adubbz Tinfoil via Aluminum Foil on the computer to install .NSP files via USB. In my experience, it is better and more stable than Goldleaf.I'm sorry if this was solved somewhere here, I need help and I can't find a solution to this issue. I have the switch on 8.1.0 with atmosphere, working perfectly on my laptop, I use goldleaf and goldtree and everything nice, the problem you say? Yeah, in my brother laptop it won't work, when I open zadig, I open goldleaf, check list all devices, I select Nintendo switch, then, change to libusb 3.0.7.0 or some, idr the exact number rn, later, big button "install WCID driver", I wait, I got successful install, later, I should go to Goldtree and browse through pc, right? Well, connection not established, wondered why, checked zadig again and I find that on my switch it says NONE like If I never installed any driver before, I restarted pc, restarted switch, installed again, changed USB port, run as admin, and not working, no matter how much I try, I get the situation as if I never installed anything, can someone please help me with this? He needs this method since using micro sd adaptor method doesn't work due to SD card being in FAT32, guy who put atmosphere said it was the best option since exFat has many errors. It sounded weird since, bigger games than 4gb,how do I install them if I use SD card method? But I just need solved the direct USB instalation, because I'm leaving to my home in a few days and taking my laptop with me, and he won't be able to install anything, sorry for the so long story, wanted to explain very well to make sure the problem is correctly identified by some angel out here reading this, hope to have a reply, soon or later, thx a lot guys.
Hacking the console involves removing the securities Nintendo put into place. And removing these both allows the user more control over their console at the cost of more catastrophic failures compared to if the console was not hacked. The most severe problem you can ever encounter is a brick which is named that due to a console losing all functionality has the same functionality of a brick. Although this can rarely happen, it has occurred to other users who have hacked their consoles. However most of those bricks were reversible, namely with a NAND backup (think of it as a copy of your SYSTEM 32 folder or in even simpler terms, the heart of your console). I would not hack the console if you do not familiarize yourself with any hacking terminology as one tool can either give you what you want or brick your console if you are not careful. Despite the Switch being hard to brick, being an irresponsible user will inevitably lead to a brick. Fortunately, there are guides that can teach you not only the terminology but safe practices to ensure you get the most out of your hacked Switch. This guide is one I recommend for a beginner such as yourself.Hello all,
I am new to this modding scene. I am not trying to do this myself because quit frankly it’s too complicated for me. I am just an overweight grown man who only knows how to flip burgers at Burger King and carry boxes at Amazon. I am just a struggling dad wanting to make my son happier bc his mom decided to leave us recently. I just need some advices. I came across with a fellow on OfferUp who can sent me a dongle and SD card with 20 games in it for about $100. This definitely beats paying for 20games legit but is this safe? He said it is 2 sided so it will be 100% safe? I tried looking into this myself and that’s how I landed myself here but there’s too many jargons in this topic that I don’t understand. I hope you understand where I am coming from. Thanks.
In the menu you can still choose USB. Goldtree guide: https://github.com/XorTroll/Goldleaf#remote-pc-systemHow do I do USB intalls on Goldleaf 0.6.1? There is no longer a USB install or Goldtree selection on the menus, and whenever I choose Remote PC, Goldleaf crashes requiring a reboot.

To be safe (less problems ahead) backup the Nintendo Folder and Checkpoints. Reformat for new Switch.I had a switch on sx os which I gave away to a friend, i kept the SD card and contents (and had an emunand), is there any way to use this on a new (compatible) console with a new sx os license? Or is it just a case of restoring saves using Checkpoint (I think i can do that?) is as good as I can expect? Thanks

You need ChoiDujourNX if you want to update the firmware of your Nintendo switch. Games have a firmware requirement and if your current firmware is too low you can't play the game. There are some tricks out to install games with ignoring the firmware requirements but that doesn't always work (Some games need a higher master key). The simplest way is to update the switch firmware if CFW supports it.when would i need to use ChoiDuchourNX?
if i want to play a brand new game and i am on an older firmware?
what do you mean? The simplest way is to update the switch firmware if CFW supports it.
