slight bit of a bug after happening for me. i recently updated to NX 20.5.0 and HATS from Nov 6th. pretty smototh upgrade, followed Infoblitz101 tutorial on youtube and all workign fine, until i went to tyr to boot into my android partition and its now gone??? obv something i overlooked in updating. no real biggy if i cant get it back, but is there a way, without going nuclear and reformatting and restoring etc?

I don't know if this is the right topic, but here I go: So I update everything accordingly but when I try to install specifically the TieBrake+ it doesn't install at all. Using DBI.RU, it get's stuck at 99% and the switch bricks, using AtmoXL, it gives me an error and says that the game was partially installed, and using other installers, it gives me errores all the time or don't install at all.

check your hekate lpl ini file make sure its in the list you may have to manualy add it as the default onlty has the one for cfw emmunand cfw sysnand and stock

as long as you replace all the payloads with the latest versions as well as sys patch and mission control and the latest atmosphere you should be fine also make sure you use latest hekate

Sigh. Did all this and ended up with another error, and not finding much help when searching it:

pkg1/pkg2 mismatch or old hekate!

Hekate is the most recent version, so I think its this pkg1/pkg2 mismatch thing. The results I got when searching seem think it may be an issue with the backup I restored from and may not be fixable, but its not clear. Any other ideas?

Baring that, anyone know how to pull the saves from an emuMMC when Atmosphere can't be launched?

This may be stupid but i've looked everywhere and i can't find a straight answer: How do i update a game install? Say, i have a ToTK NSP at v0, and when i install it using awoo it runs fine as the 1.0 patch. Now, apparently ToTK 1.1 improves performance a lot, so i want to update it. I have a second NSP that says it's v655360, so i figure that's the update patch. I run it on Awoo as a game installation. The game no longer runs.
Am i using the wrong program? Is there some setting im being too obtuse to see?

what firmware are you on because the latest update requires fw 20+ if you dont have that it wont run and the latest update is 1.42

...Ah, that would appear to be it probably, I'm on 18.1.
For clarity's sake though, you just install update NSPs the same you would any NSP, right? Also, is there any good place to check what games require what fw?

yes you install the update nsps the same as you would the base version. you might find info on nintendos website there are other sites but i am not allowed to name them here you could try googling game name .nsp downloads and see what sites come up some of the sites that you can get the nsps from list firmware requirements

NxFileViewer should display the minimum firmware for a given nsp file. You'll need recent prod.keys to run it.

Sorry, Noob here. Trying to jailbreak v1 for the first second time? Ive done it before but just reverted back to the original state. This was back in 2018 or so, so i cant remember details but it has been jailbroken before.

Currently stuck in the very beginning. TegraRCM will not recognize RCM and wants to install libusbk drivers. Runs into error. Tried zadig, but libusbk also does not populate as a driver option. Only libusb-win32 (v1.4.0.0), USB Serial (CDC), and WinUSB (v6.1.7600.16385). What steps should i take to move further?

this is the lamest and probably simplest q ever, but it there a way for me to set the shown game order? I only have 3 games installed BUT I specifically want my kids game to be #1 and HB Launcher ALWAYS last, even though it wont open without pressing r... I just dont want to risk him getting into it. right now its first.
I swear I used to know how to do it and my GoogleFU is failing me. (been gone for awhile, kid is old enough to use the switch now)
Secondly, whats the best way to install game updates? quark/goldleaf is working to install base VERY well... just select the updates there after install or is there a better choice?

Metroid Prime 4 will not install with any installer.

I hadn't updated my switch in a year and now did so with the hats pack (never used that one before).

So The transfer always works but then it either hangs or fails on install.

Using the USB to PC method.

I tried:

-Tinwoo with NS Usbloader

-Awoowith NS Usbloader

-Dbi English version with DBi backend

-Dbi latest russian version with Dbi backend

All no dice.
Running 20.5.0 - Atmosphère 1.9.5

Tried sending your payloads with Rekado? I've used TegraRCM only once to check it out but Rekado was much more convenient to me to use. Also try turning your Switch off and retry, it could be that your Switch just got stuck. If unresponsive, hold the power button for about 20s or so and then enter the RCM the way you usually do.

but it there a way for me to set the shown game order?
Maybe it's possible with a custom theme, but I've never seen a way to do that on a stock theme. The first post will always be whatever you've opened the last or if the last thing you did was put the gamecart into your Switch.

Tried with the latest sys-patch and DBI? Base game apparently requires 19.0.0, but I'm sure it won't work right out of the box and day one update requires firmware 21.0.0, but it might be possible to lower the firmware requirement with the SAK (Switch Army Knife). I've never done it so I can't really help you with that.

Yes lates hats and latest syspatch and latest DBI. Base game won't even install.

EDIT : it was probably a bad dump. Got an xci version that wasn't split up in parts. Then used Tinwoo installer to install the game. Installed it with an usb stick shoved in the dock.

Hi, I bought a hacked Switch at the beginning of this year and haven't used it all year. Now I want to play Pokémon Legends Z-A and I'm having problems. First, I got a "File CRC error" message. I downloaded the game from another site and now I'm getting this. Does anyone know if I can fix it?

Sound like corrupted file, A CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Check) error means that a digital file or data transmission has become corrupted, because the value calculated from the data does not match the expected CRC value. These errors are often caused by incomplete downloads, damaged storage media, or issues with network hardware.
