Hi everyone,

I'm buying my first modded switch and I have a couple of questions

Firstly,If I am going to install my official bought games from eshop on sd card where I have emunand, could my console be banned or I need to use 2 separated sd cards( one for official games from sysnand and second one for emummc and atmosphere)

Secondly,Is there a way to resign saves so you can move saves from emunand to sysnand?
(I read about Linkalho but if I understood correctly, it allows to link account to fake/generated NNID only so I can't put NNID of my account)

Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad English.

It’s not 100% safe. Even offline, the switch will still save telemetry and send it off as soon as you have internet.
But NS2 has performance headroom so games will run better, those that have specific switch 2 patches obviously need patches.
Thanks. One last thing, do you know if it is possible to apply the switch 2 patches directly to the XCI and put that on the MIG? So I don't need to connect the Switch 2 to internet or update games the official way. If I had access to the patches from another source of course and applied them on PC before putting games on MIG.

No, the MiG can only take the games as they are on the original cartridge, some of them have updates embedded. But you aren’t able to modify it any way

so recently I modded my switch on firmware 20.1.5 & I'm struggling with it, First problem I had was I changed my date & time which was off by months in my emunand & changed it to it's real time & then I've started having problems with it, First when I moved some game files after changing time, games stopped showing inside the folder, the memory was being consumed & games were not popping up to install using tinfoil or dbi, so I solved the problem by using usb tool via hekate & deleted the files from there bcz they were showing up using that usb tool & the files names were changed to some weird txt, so I left copying games & then installed them directly using dbi that worked & then I wanted to use cheats so I did the guide put the 4tools that I needed in my sd I did all the process even moved the 2000+ title files in the sd but I had problem loading up tesla menu & looked for a solution (https://gbatemp.net/threads/tesla-menu-wont-open.623385/#post-10682779) but it didn't work at all, I still can't open up tesla menu & now the problem i'm having right now is the cheats are always active & I can't seem to turn them off, I tried (https://gbatemp.net/threads/edizon-cheats-are-always-active.535104/) this method & it still didn't work the cheats are still on, they're just happening automatically & I can't turn them off, So in general I want someone to help me out with all of this mess that I made, that I can't seem to fix & it's literally giving me headache right now plz help

I updated my CFW and firmware this morning to version 20.1.1. Everything looks OK, except for one thing: my Switch doesn't go into sleep/standby mode whilst docked when I shut down my TV.

The Switch stays in docked mode (Switch display stays black) and it still accepts input from the controller. It's just that the TV screen is black until I press the ON/OFF button on the remote control again.

Nothing changed on the TV's end or HDMI cable wiring. The only changed thing here is the Switch firmware and CFW. The system settings - including the TV-related settings - are preserved, so it should work in theory...

Is this a known issue? And how do I fix it?

EDIT: Never mind, it seemed a (magic) reboot did the trick. So if anyone else encounters the same, try giving your Switch a reboot after your initial boot-up after updating the firmware and CFW.

I have 2 switch consoles, old one that is not patch but has hekate on it and a Oled model which is my main and does not have any mods or cheats on it.

Originally got hekate working on the old switch in 2022, but stop after an auto-update. Recently got hekate working again and I want to do some modding on the old switch.

I have some noob quesitons as I genuinely don't know, what to download from my old switch, how far I can take things on it without nintendo noticing and if my main switch can be banned from local communications with my hacked old switch

I want to update my old switch without getting it patch if it communicates locally and I have a migflash cart with nothing on it.

Hi there, the last time I updated was when FW v18.0 was out and I am about to update again and this always gives me anxiety because I forget a lot each time and stuff changes like websites and links etc.

So I have a chipped OLED (HW-Fly) and was looking in the All in One Updater in my CFW and it says that the latest atmosphere is v1.9.1 and the latest Firmware is v20.1.1 so I guess my first question is which OFW is safe to update to with the latest Atmosphere?

Is there a new guide somewhere to follow on setting up an SD card? The old site I used has been shut down by the author.

Thanks in advance for any insight, I always appreciate the help I get here, not sure what I'd do without the GBA support team, heh.

Edit: Okay, I used the HATS pack and updated to OFW v20.1.5 and everything seems to work fine but my system is overall a little slower to react when activating CFW. Seems like something is maybe using more memory possibly, has anyone else noticed this?

20.x.x has around 14MB available for sys-modules so some slowdowns are to be expected. Compared to that, 19.x.x has around 24MB and 18.x.x has around 40MB.

If you have a lot of sys-modules installed and you're using a lot of game mods and stuff, I'd suggest staying on 18.1.0.
If you have a moderate amount of sys-modules and a mod here and there, maybe 19.0.1 will be stable enough for you.
If you don't use a lot of sys-modules (maybe only sys-patch?) and no mods at all, 20.x.x should work good enough for you.

I'm not sure which sys-modules HATS pack has nowadays, but you'll probably need to remove a module or two to make things a bit smoother on your CFW. Even then, slowdowns are to be expected here and there.

I have a v1 switch hacked with 20.1.1 firmware and 1.9.1 Atmosphere, I installed sys-patch and everything seems patched except for noncasigk_new.

Bigger games work, but small games ask me to get out of airplane mode and to connect to the internet. (I assume bigger games are simulating cartridges and smaller games are trying to connect to eshop to verify that they belong to my account)

What is the issue?

What exactly is a sys-module? Where do I look to find them? The only mods I have installed are for BotW and Rune Factory. I am using a 1.5TB SD card and its maxed out at the moment, about 30GB's free space.

I was running 18.1.0 and it was fine, only updated because I thought I needed to in order to run the Fantasy Life update. So now I guess... I am going to have to try to do my first downgrade back to 19.x.x.

What is the easiest way to downgrade the Emunand? I think my system firmware is still on a lower firmware, would it be easier to just format my card and start over (and reinstall 1.5TB's of games, heh)? Or is there an easier way that might save me some work?

Which ones are considered sys-modules, or rather, which ones can I remove to improve memory?

Edit: Nevermind, I tried a minimal load and it seems to work okay, MUCH better than before. I planned on getting a new SD card soon anyway so I'll wait and set up the new card at a lower firmware on my emunand.

Hi all,

What is the best file manager I could use in the homebrew menu to put certain files in Another map and vice versa.

I will travel soon and want the ability to change between mario kart 8 deluxe mods (ctgp, mario kart omega and sitbar cp).

So I could use a file manager to just switch the maps around in the atmosphere folder?

Tinfoil 20.0.2 appears to be corrupt. When I download and unzip it gives cyclic redundancy check failure. Also it's 27mb instead of 280mb of the previous version. Does anyone happen to have 20.0.1 zip they can share? How can we notify the tinfoil devs about this? Thx!

Greetings.
I got my first Gen Switch 1 out and updated the System from 19 to 20.1.5.
I updated Hekate and Atmosphere to the newest version.
Something seems to have gone wrong, it cannot read cartridges.
It freezes shortly and then outputs a "cannot read card" error.

The nogc in the config is set to 0.

Do you have any idea how I get the cartridge-slot working again?

Solved:
I poked around at the hekate configuration - setting nogc to 1 (which still caused an error) and then returning it to 0 did somehow fix the issue.

Hey, is there a way to use an android phone to inject a payload into a switch, without the need for a PC?

Edit: Figured it out, looks like NX Loader is in the Google store.

It's alright to use the latest version of Atmosphere even if I am running older firmware (18.0.0), right?

Just one more question... Is there a way to use the same SD loaded with games on two different chipped OLED Switch's?

Rekado is what I've used since the beginning.

It should be fine. However, Atmosphere 1.9.0 introduced some changes that help mitigate the issues people might run into with the reduced amount of memory introduced in 20.x.x (only 14MB is available instead of 24 available in 19.x.x and 40 available in 18.x.x) so I'm not sure whether that changes anything significantly if you're on a lower firmware but still using the latest Atmosphere with it. There probably shouldn't be any issues, but I can't test it personally.

As far as I know, there isn't. Maybe there's a hacky way to do it but even then you risk breaking your microSD card slot by putting it back and forth between Switches. Better get yourself a dedicated microSD card for both Switches.

Is there a real reason to update to v19.x.x or is it safe to just stay at v18.x.x? I have been on v18.x.x OFW for... a long time, and all of my games seem to work okay.

It looks like you answered your own question. If all your games work, there is no reason to touch anything. You can consider updating only when a new game doesn't work on older firmware.

Damn I just tried using my loader and its not launching, I am currently using NS USB Loader because I use to use Awoo but now I just use the DBI installer, I have Java installed so I'm not sure whats wrong. What is a good injector app to use these days?

Edit: Got it to work.

Well, I am preparing this Switch for a friend so I wanted it to be as updated as possible for them. They have some games likes sports games that I have never played or tested.

How do I run Lockpick on a HWFly chipped OLED Switch? I have always used an injector on my other Switch's which was pretty simple.
