yeah figured it was firm locked, daybreak still the best method for updating? and anybody know do i need all the way up to 14.1.2 or can i just do 14?
Is there any reason why you wouldn't want to update to 14.1.2? Latest (if supported by Atmosphere) is always the best. Daybreak is your friend. Keep using it.

Hi All, Id like to buy a switch and have it modded, can you please give me the link where I can start reading how to mod a switch.
This is the guide I always recommend to new users not only because it was the first Nintendo Switch hacking guide but its also been regularly updated as the scene progressed. Although if you don't already own a Switch and plan on buying a new one, I should warn you that all new consoles require a modchip in order to be hacked. Only older and/or used models can be hacked without a modchip that also requires soldering.

Did you delete all traces of the installed file under System Setting -> Manage Data

also, why stop at 14.0.0?

View attachment 324317
Root folder is? Where in SD card? You need to be a little bit more accurate
Because it must work also on 14. I will try the latest but I can bet nothing will change
Need an alternative way or, better, understand what is going on

Someone told me to do this

update to 14.1.2 download latest atmos, download/make your own sigpatches, inject fusee.bin and you should have any problem at all. If you care about being banned though, do not do this lol

Can anyone help me with a step by step procedure? My own sigpatches!?!?
Thank you

I tried with DBI that is a wonderful debug tool
From its log, I can tell without any doubt it is a sigpatches fault
Here again talking about sigpatches. Is it then possibile to have these files up and ready for my switch? But are they different for each switch? I cannot understand why they do not work for me and work for others... anyway, take a look at picture in attachment

From that picture, it seems your nsp files have problems. You know you can check them before installing with this app:

https://github.com/garoxas/NX_Game_Info

It will tell you if there's any problems with them. Although, seeing as you're not sure what the root folder is, it might prove too hard to use. (just to be clear, the root folder is the very first directory when you open a drive. Like "C:" for Windows). If the problem is really sigpatches, you can still grab the last release from iTotalJustice before he got shut down by Nintendo. They should still work fine (they do for me) since no new Atmosphere or firmware came out since.

Edit: Also, remember that sigpatches have to match Atmosphere and firmware versions. If you're installing an older firmware (14.0), you will likely need also older sigpatches that match the old firmware. Make your life easy and update everything to the latest. You have nothing to lose.

Do you confirm nsp are wrong?
What about console.keys? I used Lockpick_RCM.bin and it made dev.keys instead console.keys. But, maybe this does not matter at all...

Thank you

For NX Game Info, the most important file to have is the most up to date prod.keys you can get. Lockpick_RCM should provide it easily. The other files are optional. From the log you provided, there might be something fishy with your nsp files. Either that, or NX game info errors out before processing the files. I'm using it (the cli version) on Linux with Wine, and it works fine for me. Anyway, as I was saying, update everything and try again with DBI, before re-downloading your nsps from another source.

Hello,
im Stuck and need help with two things:
1. If i try to load a save file with JKSV it loads the File, but if i open the Game nothing changed (still on the old save). Got sigpatches, latest FW and tried using R to load JKSV, not using R, etc.
2. I tried to install a Sword Rabdomizer and it was working on my 64GB card. Now i upgraded the Card to 256 GB and it just wont randomize anything.

Thanks in advance

Upgraded everything to latest level
Ofw 14.1.2
CFW 1.3.2
Sigpatches aligned (taken from this forum)
In attachment same result as before
So, the question is: is a sigpatches fault or are nsp files invalid? I took them from a popular place, I cannot believe they are corrupted. Maybe something went wrong unrar them? They were split in sub files and I was working on Mac
Thank you
Regards

Really strange behaviour! I just installed a bunch of nsz/nsp files myself via DBI MTP responder, and everything went super smooth. If you read the DBI instructions, it states this for your errors:

  • "INVALID LENGTH" - check the USB-C cable connection to your USB port, try with another USB-C cable, verify the integrity of the game file and check the SD card for errors, when installing via MTP - try to run DBI in application mode (title override) holding the R button while launching a title
I guess you need to do some troubleshooting. Good luck!

Please share you /bootloader/hekate_ipl.ini

Simce you are working on a Mac you will want to occasionally run the Archive Bit check in Hekate.

"Since you are working on a Mac" -> sorry, I was unclear: I work on Mac just to download e unrar nsp games. Everything else is done on Windows.
Anyway, I tried what you told me "you will want to occasionally run the Archive Bit check in Hekate", but nothing.
I am just wondering if all this mess comes from corrupted nsp. But, in this case, I cannot understand why, since they comes from a popular place...(maybe something putting togheter rar part? ...)

check the SD card for errors, when installing via MTP ->

try to run DBI in application mode (title override) holding the R button while launching a title -> not possible, no title installed (the very first time it is a normal scenario)

Really strange behaviour! I just installed a bunch of nsz/nsp files myself via DBI MTP responder, and everything went super smooth -> is it possible to know where nsz/nsp files come from?

Please share you /bootloader/hekate_ipl.ini ->
[config]
autoboot=0
autoboot_list=0
bootwait=0
autohosoff=0
autonogc=1
updater2p=1
backlight=100

[CFW - sysMMC]
fss0=atmosphere/package3
kip1patch=nosigchk
atmosphere=1
emummc_force_disable=1
icon=bootloader/res/icon_payload.bmp

[CFW - emuMMC]
fss0=atmosphere/package3
kip1patch=nosigchk
emummcforce=1
atmosphere=1
icon=bootloader/res/icon_payload.bmp

[Stock - sysMMC]
fss0=atmosphere/package3
emummc_force_disable=1
stock=1
icon=bootloader/res/icon_switch.bmp
It is the same comes from Hekate+AMS-package3-sigpatches-1.3.2-cfw-14.1.2.zip
"Since you are working on a Mac" -> sorry, I was unclear: I work on Mac just to download e unrar nsp games. Everything else is done on Windows.
Anyway, I tried what you told me "you will want to occasionally run the Archive Bit check in Hekate", but nothing.
I am just wondering if all this mess comes from corrupted nsp. But, in this case, I cannot understand why, since they comes from a popular place...(maybe something putting togheter rar part? ...)

Even good sites get a bad upload every once in a while. Try a different source just for kicks.

Another thing you can try is to make a new stanza in your hekate_ipl.ini file test just booting fusee.bin

Copy this file https://github.com/Atmosphere-NX/Atmosphere/releases/latest/download/fusee.bin
to /bootloader/payloads/fusee.bin

add this at the bottom of your current /bootloader/hekate_ipl.ini file

[Test Atmosphere CFW]
payload=bootloader/payloads/fusee.bin
icon=bootloader/res/icon_payload.bmp

Reboot your switch and launch Test Atmosphere CFW

Just curious (and bored)... but what program looks for console.keys? Specific keys are dumped into prod.keys with Lockpick_RCM, so why would you need a console.keys file?

EDIT: Nevermind. NX_Game_Info. From 3 years ago. Seems I couldn't dump my sd_Seed on my OLED, however...
EDIT2: Ok, I could dump it from sysnand. Why could it not dump from emunand? Does emunand not need an sd seed or something?
