Hi, I'm a complete noob when it comes to Switch hacking.
So basically I'd like to mod my Switch which is an old model, but definitely patched (I did the check with RCM mode), I'm on the latest firmware 10.1.0 and I plan on buying the SX Core to mod it.
My purpose is to overclock the console (I use it essentially docked all the time) and play online with my purchased games and nothing else other than fiddling around with homebrews.
Secretly, I'm a modder at heart and every console I own has some kind of modifications on it so I'd like the Switch to have it too.

First thin first, is the SX Core compatible with my Switch model and firmware version?
Are there any purposes I'm missing I could do with a modded Switch?
Are there any collateral effects of modding my Switch?
Is there a way to get "invisible" while using emunand?
Is there something else I need to know?
Any recommendation on guides and procedures?

Kind regards.

If you're on 10.1.0 and definitely patched on old Switch, then your only option is the SX Core modchip. If you want to play your legit games online, you'd want to create an emuMMC (emuNAND) and do all your homebrew activity there. The sysNAND will be kept clean for online play and legit games only. Still no guarantees that you'll never be banned this way, but it's the safest option.
