since last march, ive been watching this RP2040 modchip and kinda interested to mod my switch lite
i watch couple videos on youtube about this RP2040
i found some of this youtube RP2040 for switch lite

sadly, he didnt record the mosfet solder process

idk how the mosfet installation work ?
can someone explain to me
how this wiring~schema work ?
btw
i plan not to use the flex cable v2
does it gonna work ?
can someone explain more easier the mosfet schema ?

and my other question :
i wonder is it possible , if i solder the mosfet outside the gpu ? i mean, i dont wanna accidently burn the nvidia gpu...
so i wanna place the mosfet near the RP2040
do you think, its gonna still work?

first it's not gpu. it's tegra x1 SoC (cpu, gpu, etc all in one).
anyways it's better if you solder mosfets directly to the cpu capacitors, but if you see original post by rehius some distance would be fine.
but you would still need to soler to those capacitors so no difference in that you have to be careful.
and for the schematics D=drain S=source G=gate. and you have to solder to any one of those points

yeah... dat nvidia thing~
is it ok if i place the mosfet next to RP2040
yes, with distance....
cuz im planning to make more cleaner wiring

this is example (not final)
mosfet edit2.jpg

is this correct ?

the less distance the better some say it possible some say it not......
try it us t good gauge

No it's not, closer to the caps is better, why? High currents (on order of 10Amps) and probably signal interference with thin wiring.
If you don't want to use the transistors, just place a HWFLY CPU cable.

ok. so closer better
but kinda scary

what if i place it like Dee87 ? near that empty spot ?
but only use 1 mosfet ?

u can go ahead and do it like that depends on ur board if its okay with just one mosfet
some boards require 2 mosfets the first time i also tried one and it didnt work since then i installed on every switch i modded with a picofly (6) 2 mosfets since they are like 80 cent and i know it works

but u need thicker wire if u do it and place the wires on the apu that way they are gonna be shorter

no i have a v2 and a oled
but also installed it on 2 lights
from the forum there are also people with lites wich required 2 mosfet
just try one first if it doesnt work u need to install a second one
