Bought 3 that started with XAW100790 from Walmart all of them were patched

2 friends of mine bought XAW100790 NEON versions but they worked. I'm assuming if you have a NEON and a XAW100790 you have a higher chance of it working

Basically I have looked at the beginning post and my serial number seems to be in the middle range of possibly unpatched or patched units. So I don't know for sure if its unpatched. So would the only way to check if it is unpatched to purchase a jig and see if it goes into RCM mode? Thanks.
