Hello,

Does anyone have a tip for me about the Nintendo Switch game card slot?

The phenomenon is the following

I recently bought a Nintendo Switch from the first generation and have the problem that Pokémon Sword and Shield (each including the expansion pass) simply don't want to be recognized.

All other games work.

The only thing is that you have to plug in the games in less than 1 second, otherwise other games also cause problems and won’t be read

Has anyone ever had it? Is my gamecard slot dying ?

Sword and Shield work in several other Switches right on the first try

Thank you

That sounds like your cartridge reader has a problem with every game and likely is broken.
If you're very lucky, it might just be a chunk of dirt inside the card reader.
Just check with a flashlight.
Otherwise it might be a bent or broken pin.
Or the connection of the cart reader inside the Switch is partially detached from the main board.
A good repair shop can fix this.
