Passcard4 PCB for Superkey as you seen above, abviously was from Passcard OEM,
same thing as new version of Passcard3.

By all means, you are going to see an icon from the boot up menu of a DS with a new version of Passcard.
Just like NEO MK4, and others.

Just make sure you are getting the new version.

How are you getting the PASSCARD3 to show up in the boot menu like that? I have my DSLite set to 'Manual' boot but my PASSCARD3 always takes over and never goes to the DS boot menu. It either boots my G6Lite when it's inserted or just stays at the splash screen when the GBA slot is empty.

Did I miss something?

Well your passcard is the old version
The one mentioned here is the newest version which has passcard 4 written on the PCB but it still says passcard 3 on the cover.

Are you sure your DS is set to manual? Did you let it switch itself off after changing the setting?

Yes, I'm sure. Tried it several times. It goes straight to the menu with a true NDS cart, just not with the PASSCARD3.

That's cool, I was just checking (I've known people who didn't realise you had to let it switch itself off!)

How strange. I wonder what the Passcard3 does differently to not make it show up in the NDS main menu like that. I thought NoPass-class devices worked just like original NDS games.

Me too, I have both... I bought the EZpass3 cause I wanted to loose the splashscreen my Passcard 3 had... But now I notice the EZpass won't automatically go past the "Warning - health & Safety" screen... I guess it's a trade off... Passcard3 you get a splashscreen, but it boots you all the way to your flashcard without any action and Ezpass3 stops and waits for you at the "Warning - health & Safety" to accept and then nosplash screen and straight to flash cart...

Not sure which I like better...

Is there any passcard out there currently available that boots straight to the flashcard without any user action and noplashscreen? - besides the old superkey/passcard 3... Something you can buy now...

I just received a second EZPass 3 and it performs different than my other EZPass 3... So this whole passcard thing is like spinning a wheel and seeing what you get.

I would have assumed any two EZPass 3's were the same and would function the same.

My one EZPass 3 boots by itself straight to the flashcard or to two white screens that lock if you don't have a flashcard in slot two (automatic or manual mode).

My other EZPass 3 needs you to tap/hit a button at the "Nintendo Warning" screen and then iether boots to the flashcart (automatic mode) or to the DS's menu and shows itself as a DS cart (manual mode) in the menu.

Both EZPass 3s don't have splash screens though...

Go figure? Sounds like they (SuperKey, Passcard 3, EZPass 3) are all using the same cards with their product, but are changing splash screen...

superkey version 5 has whole different pcb layout.
i can make some pictures if you guys are interested.

Yeah, I think so. I have a SuperKey that acts just like the second EZPass you got (automatically leaves the Health & Safety Screen and no splash screen). I also have a Passcard 3 that requires you to press a button a to leave the Health & Safety screen and has a splash screen. Between my two cards and two of yours, that's all the possible variations for the Health & Safety screen and a splash screen. Why is there so many different cards is what I'd like to know.

...word is bondage...

my passcard 3 has a problem, when it is hosting a multiplayer wifi game it fails to start up and giving an error message saying something like the "game card has been removed...", the same error occurs sometimes in sleep mode with the same error message...did anyone has the same problem? Is my passcard a defective product...thanks for any help...

Ok i have a DS lite. and i just got a SuperKey today.

if i boot the superkey in the DS lite, after the health and saftey splash , i get 2 white screens.

if i start up the unit with out the superkey and go to the NDS lite menu, put the superkey in, it doesnt see it.

the slot works fine with originals..

can anyone tell me what im doing wrong. ??

I have tried manual boot and auto boot also..

thanks

I opened my SuperKey, and it looks nothing like the one in the original post here.. 100% different looking and yes I did get it to work..

Would have been nice if others would have responded and maybe tried to offer help... wow this forum is known for its rudeness. I cant beleive it..

no offens to others but come on people this is a forum that offeres help. So why is it we dont do that here.

You waited less than 8 hours. This is a forum, not a chat room. If no one had responded for a week, then yes I'd see why you'd be a bit annoyed, but only 8 hours? That's just being entirely impatient.

Who the feck said anyone here was obligated to help you or even respond. You respect gbatemp and gbatemp respects you.

pity you just lost all my respect.

sometimes people get tired of people who ask noob questions all the time. Most of which could be solved in 20 seconds with a google or forum search.

Not to mention you can't say a forum which is comprised of thousands of unique individuals and extremely generous and helpful in general "is known for its rudeness".

Known by who? considering you don't know much i don't think the answer is you.
