i think this is the best snes emulator available, because the first version has great speed on some games and few bugs only, the majority doesnt run, but it is a great emu overall just how it is. breath of fire, castlevania iv, aladdin, and more games run almost perfect.

Here are several games I've tried. All were played with VBA 1.7 and default settings in PocketSNES rom builder.

Add ROMs Screen (Windows)

PocketSNES menu (GBA)

Games:

Alien Vs. Predator

Freezes at start screen

Batman Returns

Several graphical glitches. A bit slow but playable

Animaniacs

I can't play this game in SuperNES nor SuperFamicom :?

Crono Trigger
Game Freezes, emulator keep running

Mortal Kombat

Dragon Ball Z Super Butoden

Final Fantasy II

"This game pak is not designed for your super famicom or super nes" means that the game you're trying isn't US.. the emulator only seems to support PAL games if you fill in the PAL [ ] box. =D

Try act raiser 2 (E) & (U) and you'll realize that E version doesn't work, but U does..

man, im so freaking excited about this... I cant wait till a public beta release!!!! Thanks for the brand new screens, TonyCool!

Umm, where have you been for the last two pages of this topic?

The emulator is OUT. You can try it yourself although not much is working and only a few games work...

Get it here: http://home.utah.edu/~u0422123/

Still very very cool!

Ok, since you just posted this, and I've posted it earlier in this topic.. then I feel I might aswell start a new topic for it!

WHAT THE HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LET'S FINALLY HAVE REAL FUN WITH OUR GBA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YYYYYYIIIIIIIHHHHHHAAAAAAAA!!!!
I won't never be able to thank you enough, loopy and other guys!!! WHAT AN INCREDIBLE WORK YOU HAVE DONE!!!!!!!!! :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
This is probably the best thing ever done on the GBA scene, and your work will shut for good the mouth of lamers who said it was impossible!!! Great Work!!! :-)

Just a question: what rom can you suggest me to try your emulator? ;-)

This is the ONLY snes emu for gba

Ah, OK i'll remember ;-) and sorry... But I'M SO HAPPY !!!! FINALLY, A WORKING SNES EMU FOR GBA!!! Can you imagine that?? I still can't believe it, it's too wonderful to be true!!!! :-)

I tested some games too, except the ones mentioned.
Tin Tin in Tibet
Tin Tin 2
Super Metroid
Terranigma
froze...

I was wondering if flashing and play them on the actual console would do the trick.
Has anyone tried it?

The good thing is that Super Castlevania is almost higly playable!!!!!!!!!!

I do beleive that that the makers of the snes emulator for the GP32 won a zodiac. I only hope that many people would want loopy to have a zodiac. I know I do.

Well not only loopy, but flubba, and reezy, and whoever else is awesome that I didnt mention.
Especially since the pocketnes is better than the Nesem. It is sad that I have a zodiac, and I play more nintendo games on the gba than on the zodiac. Yeah the screen is bigger, but it cant play many games without graphical glitches, and its slow on metroid when there is more than 4-5 enemies on the screen. By the way Nesem you have to PAY FOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing seems logical these days

Eh... TonyCool and others wouldn't it be more logical to post only working games as opposed to ones that don't work...like it's obvious stuff like Pilot Wings won't run anyway; Pocket SNES can't mode 7 yet. But yeah posting working games would be cool...now I know I gotta get Gradius 3 and Super Castlevania.

As I said a page of so ago I'd recommend people try out:

Macross
Background static, occasional sprite error. Great speed.

macross1.png
macross2.png

macross3.png

Earthworm Jim
Plays slightly too fast, heh.

earthwormjim1.png

Breath Of Fire
Few graphic hickups, text cut off screen (Change offset to upto +50 to make it viewable).

I think the images speak for themselves so I won't post anymore...if any new discoveries come up though we ought to post them.

p.s What's up with the 2 blue bits at the top of my screen? Other people don't have them in their screens...

Man, I can't wait till I can go home and try out this emulator. I got a huge list of SNES games I could test.
Does anyone know if Maximum Carnage works?

I'm aware the emulator has a long way to go, but it's made some very good starting steps.
It's going to be exciting to see how this emulator progresses.
