Super Mario™ 3D Land: November
Mario Kart™ 7: December
Kid Icarus™ Uprising: Holiday season"

Super Mario 3D Land? It sounds a little weird

Maybe they worded it like that (and not Super Mario Land 3D) for people not to confuse it with a Super Mario Land remake. Mario Kart 7... well, it reminds me of Windows 7 although I don't see why they started with the numbers now.
As for the dates, it's nice to see Super Mario 3D Land coming first, I think November will be an amazing month for the 3DS!
The others were already confirmed, but it's nice to see they're still coming this year.

I hope, and I'd rather that they call it Lylat Wars 3D over here in the UK.
Actually, the fact they're continuing the Super Mario Land series is a bit surprising.

Mario Kart 7?
Are they breaking the chain?
How else will people know it's for the 3DS?
Makes sense, should've been Mario Kart 3DS. Or just 3D

Thats what I thought it would be named. Oh well, Mario Kart 7 doesn't exactly sound very catchy, nor does Super Mario 3D Land.

Maybe they just want to make an example and show to publishers/developers that they can call their games the way they want without having "3D" in them

But "7" is weird for a mario kart title. They could have used a subtitle instead of a number.

Edit :
Also I find it funny that the registered trademark is "Star Fox 64" and not "Star Fox" itself.
It's like if "Star Fox 64" was a complete different series.

Eh, although I'll admit that I'm not thrilled with the names Mario Kart 7 or Super Mario 3D Land, it's not like it changes the game or anything so I don't really care. The wii has one of the worst names for a console ever and I still like it.

I like the names.

Super Mario 3D Land. It rolls off the tongue, and it makes sense. Mario Kart 7? Ehh, it makes sense, but it's not as catchy.

I'm really glad they're coming out this year, though.

"Super Mario in 3D land" was better maybe?

That kind of makes it sound like a movie, though.

Super Mario in
3D LAND

I think Mario Kart 7 sounds off, too. Though, we've had Mario Kart DS, Mario Kart Wii, and Mario Kart 64. Not counting the GP titles, that's half of the currently available titles that have the consoles name right in the title. The others, Super Mario Kart, Mario Kart Super Circuit, and Mario Kart Double Dash!! have non numerical and non-system related titles. Not counting the "64" part in Mario Kart 64 and Mario Kart GP2, 7 would be the first numerically titled version. It just seems a bit odd.

Still a day one purchase for me, though.

Both Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 are bad names.
You never called a Mario Kart game by its number, why start now? Even Mario Kart 3D would be better.
And Super Mario 3D Land is awful. Same "just 3D would be better" comment applies. I guess they didn't want to call it Super Mario Land 3D because there's already a Super Mario Land franchise but it's still not good.

I'll get them anyway because I know they will be good. But the names disgust me.

I'll buy Kid Icarus, Mario Kart and Super Mario when I have the money. I don't care much about Star Fox. But it's nice that they're all coming out this year.

The way "in" is in bold font made me think of the Pink Panther.

What's wrong with Star Fox?
It was called Lylat Wars in Europe.
I know, but what don't you like about Star Fox?

I guess Nintendo forgot how different the Mario Land series was to the main series. Would love a new Mario Land game, it had a different style of play, look and enemies...the 3DS game though doesn't really carry the look or differences in enemies.
