"CUH-7115B" pretty much says all. That's the latest revision of PS4 Pro first released in October 2017, way past the release of FW 4.70 on May 30th, 2017. Acording to the Japanese article cited by N4G, Sony first started to sell CUH-7100 in Japan on October 2nd, 2017.

Yeah picked it up today and it's 4.55, really glad.
Now the wait for proper method to dump updates and DLC begins.
So 727XXXXX can be safely added to the list as guaranteed 4.55 for EU 7016B models.

Does anyone here in the UK know of any stores which would let me check the serial numbers or how you guys are going about doing this?

This should be 4.55 as long as it is sealed. PN match. Get the lowest serial you can if there are only two.
