I'm looking for a slim on 4.55 or bellow in the UK. Can anyone give me some pointers where to start? I have been to Asda but they only have pro's and CUH 7211 (I think thats the serial) I am going to my local Tesco store which is a large one. Been to PC World but only new pros also. Went to Argos and despite a member of staff stating on the website that the slim console they sell is bellow 4.05 it wasn't. Had to return it as it was on 4.73. I really want one but I'm not going to pay over the odds on ebay for one.
Please help anyone in the UK South East

Yeah me too. I wanted a pro and ebay prices I looked at were practically the same price as new and everyone I asked said they'd updated to 5.50. Which is why I bought the cheapest new one I could find (districtelectricals.co.uk £329.99 with free shipping, which took 3 days) The box was a bit dog eared, possibly a catalogue return & it had 4.73 on it.

Crossing my fingers for a kernel exploit.

I think stocks in the UK were pretty well cleaned out at xmas. Argos would have been a good deal for pro as you could get a second controller free, but they don't have any in stock when you search on their web page. Their ebay page had 7 available at full price.

You might have better luck with slims, but I figured that buying a ps4 now might be the last chance. I'll probably use it for the next ten years and so even if future consoles are hackable, I don't want to end up buying two.

So 100% if have the box has 4K HDR logo is higher than 4.55?
So hard to determine as its in the 70XX range, I thought anything that was 71XX was when it was shipped with 4.70

Yes these are a bit expensive, some of them £150 over the asking price. Thanks for the links though, I might have to go for the uncharted collection if I can't find anything else.

I don't mind getting the Pro, As long as it is no more thank £350 which is roughly the asking price in the UK. Paying £399 for the slim is daylight robbery.

Sellers know about the jailbreak thats why they have put up their prices recently. Cant blame them but they will just loose business because someone that doesn't know what they're buying will not pay that, not even people that want it for the jailbreak.

Hopefully I will be lucky at Tesco today.

UPDATE: All Tesco had was new stock they got last weekend. No luck still.

Once more, since this is probably buried a few pages back - I have no idea how helpful it still is, but I used this picture when I was buying my PS4, and I got a slim corresponding to the information provided in it and it came with fw 3.55. It might help some people who are able to find this info.
