Skyrim saves are also cross compatible, I straight just copied my pc saves to my switch and the game loaded them just fine (minus the mods).

I'm also mostly sure that saves from games like cities skylines, mutant year zero, ion fury, amnesia among others are also compatible.

I got a few confirmed compatible here:

Battle Chef Brigade
Dust: An Elysian Tale (making sure to transfer all files)
Eastward
Hyper Light Drifter (using the same converter tool method to use the save on a new PC)
Katana Zero
Octopath Traveler (by renaming and changing the file format)

you can do it with a lot of games long as you know what you are doing. Borderlands series, Final Fantasy series, and Neverwinter Nights to name a few

Ni no Kuni II save from PC and decrypted PS4 aren't compatible with Switch due to size difference, neither is Sonic Team Racing.

Diablo II PC saves work if it isn't modded.

Ended up getting Victor Vran on sale for steam, so i decided to try it out with the steam version. JKSM only seems to get part of the files that it uses. On Windows it seems to store your saves in appdata with in VictorVran. It contains Characters, logs, Save and DeveloperStorage.lua.

But on switch it only gives you the save files, which does not let you move said save to pc or the other way around.

I may try out some other games and update accordingly.

I have successfully ported multiple Skyrim savefiles from the Xbox 360 to the Switch edition which involved me using several editions of the game.

Exported the Xbox 360 savefile from my USB using old mod tools on Windows, imported the save to LE (PC), migrated that save to SE (PC), and imported that save to the Switch edition of the game.

Instructions how to play your Disco Elysium PC savegame on Switch (haven't tried doing the opposite since I completed the game on Switch then):

1.) Install DE to your Switch.
2.) Start the game and get to the main menu.
3.) Start a new game and just choose any character type to proceed.
4.) Quickly skip the first dialogue until you can move around, save the game and quit it.
5.) Get JKSV if you haven’t already and create a backup of your new game.
6.) Copy the savegame to your PC and go to the SaveSlots folder inside the savegame backup.
7.) There will be a folder with a random ID and inside there are three files: a jpg, a json and a zip.
8.) Copy your PC savegame to the previously mentioned folder and rename your jpg and zip that you wanna use to the same as the json file (means to the ID of the folder, also remove the previous jpg and zip to avoid same names).
9.) Open the json file and edit the lines “fileName” and “title” to match your PC savegame’s actual names (for fileName it's the one which it had before you renamed it, for title it's the title (duh) which it has in the pause menu).
10.) Copy over the new files back to your SD and replace the old ones, then restore your savegame in JKSV.

Hollow Knight (requires save decryption, I think)
Wasteland 2 (long time ago, I think there were minor differences in file format but it worked)
Dragon Quest 11S (someone made a script to convert saves)
Salt and Sanctuary (must rename file and edit the file to remove some superfluous header data from the start of the switch save)
Children of Morta (needs a file rename, I think)
Hades (worked without issue)
Darkest Dungeon
Cuphead (easy)
Bloodstained Ritual of the Night (I think it was easy)

I tried doing FF12 Zodiac Age. I managed to open the switch save in a save editor and export it to a file that might work on PC, but I don't have it on PC to test the output.

@Xdqwerty, People who create revival services for the Wii end up in disaster, same goes for Pretendo lol.

@SylverReZ, atleast wiimmfii went fine although people only use it for Mario kart Wii
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
At least if they ban you for cheating, get another Wii. They're cheap as chips.

Remember when RiiShop was a thing?
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
    not really
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
It got shutdown because somebody "accidentally" leaked the database for the amount of people using the beta.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
RiiShop is the laziest way of downloading Wii games. Did somebody not think of this through?
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
although i ended up accidentally changing my nand with no way of going back bc i didn't know you needed a gamecube controller to restore it (i have a wii minus/1.1, which doesn't have gamecube controller support)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, I think you're talking about the recovery mode that the SaveMii used, and also was to restore softbricked systems.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
If your NAND was hardbricked, then just buy another Wii. Or go with the dirty NAND flasher method.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
and if i find the sd card i have my NAND backed up on, i can not only restore the NAND if i solder the right part in, but i can also put my NAND on dolphin, then i can play dolphin online, like PMEX Remix or MKWii Riibalanced
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    Brb
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, Oh yeah, that was a thing too. Dolphin does support Wiimmfi.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
yeah you just need to put your NAND backup with wiimmfi on it
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
ngl i feel like if a bunch of my friends have wiis and know how to get wiimmfi and back up their NAND, then we could do a PMEX Remix tournament
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
maybe even add UMVC3/DBFZ and make it a biathlon/triathlon
