Homebrew Stuck on firmware 11.1.0-4

I have tried everything to fix this. I need soundhax but it does not have the firmware 11.1.0-4. Recovery mode does not work, I lost my nand backup, and nobody seems to know what my firmware is. Please help!

If you have Cubic Ninja or Freaky Forms Deluxe already you can use those to get into homebrew and install CFW. Otherwise, your best bet is to buy a ntrboot capable flashcart and install CFW that way.

can pick up a copy of miitopia, ever oasis or fire emblem echoes to update to 11.3 which will still have sound hax capable. borrow a copy from a friend perhaps, or used copy from a shop like GS. or if you are close to an employee ask if you can just use a copy quick.

Cartridges do not contain the sound app.
Sound app is updated via internet only (nver).

he is already on 11.1 and should have the sound app already updated
the sound app didnt get updated again till 11.4(breaking soundhax)
on an old 3ds it was updated at 7.0
new3ds id imagine already contained the 7.0 sound update

the 11.3 cart update would help him with the otherapp payload which is what i believe he is stuck on

The browser number is 4 so it was cart updated from 2.1 which means the 3DS Sound app is the wrong version for SoundHax. Further cart updates will not help.

iirc you can just use the normal one, which would be 11.1.0-34

How much did it cost out of curiosity? I hear it's rare to come by. The reason i mention it is because you were scammed if you bought it for anything above 20 dollars, since ntrboot would have worked just as well for 20.
