Hi, some help please if posssible...

Am currently trying to hardmod my n3dsxl. I've done all the soldering and created the franken sd cable. Have an anker usb reader.

I managed to dump my nand several times and all seemed to go successfully. I patched the nand with the b9shardmod installer. I wrote the nand-patched.bin back to the ds. I put the luma boot.firm onto the root of the sd. But now when booting the ds it just boots as normal without trying to run the CFW. Any reason why this would be? It seems that the patch of b9s not successful, or that it maybe didn't write to the nand correctly?

I now have another problem - ever since flashing the patched nand my pc will no longer recognize the 3ds when plugged in via sd adaptor - so I can't use win32diskimager to either create any more dumps or try and flash again.

    they are great

The ones that are parts and/or not working are from what I can see.

companies use them for three years or so
before they are dumped on the market

nah you can find lots of working ones if you look carefully
