Hacking Still no Super Mario RPG Wad???

WTFUX? I changed the wii region to JAP on that second Wii and...WTH STILL BLACK SCREEN! WHAT'S GOING ON?
I got the name of game in game previev channel (words under a title screen, the number of players, the release date and that crap) but not game?

try installing it not region free and install it after the region is changed.

I do not have the region free wad. I have NTSC and JAP wads and I'm installing them after changing...I tried also to NTSC and the same result...

that's really weird. did you use the changer + downgrader? even if you did not use the downgrader it should work.

Then what it have to do with it?

use the downgrader to downgrade to 3.2J

-.- You know what? I was only trying if it will work on PALJAP wii. It haven't. So why for gods sake I have to downgrade to 3.2J, when I got now back to 3.2E? -.-

I'm just saying, that it don't worked on 3.2J, 3.2U.

EDIT: Evidence it works on my Pal Wii:

All I did was use wwpacker15 to unpack the wad. The used it to uncompress the 00000001.dol. Using GWP, I changed just the NTSC Modes to PAL 60 modes. The tool then repacked it and tada!

To make things simplier, I'll make an IPS Patch. *does that*

U8 Extract will not work on 01.app
That's the only method I'm aware of.

u8 tools are no decompressor, the 01.APP is no U8 file.
search the forum, somewhere here is the decompressor that does the job.

for those whoe can't get it to work, i released the patched wad to a forum, it should be out on gctracker soon.

no. injecting it will work, however, the text stays in japanese. deba94 is working on a fix.

That's good to hear the IPS Patch works. Only problem I've encountered is it freezes if you try to view the Operational Manual. So just don't click on it. Other than that, everything should work fine, including saving on the PAL Wii.

Did you mean patch the wad? Or did you reinject the rom into the wad?
