Stealth, of Sonic Mania fame, attempted to pitch a Darkwing Duck game to Capcom, was turned down
Headcannon Games, known for their work on Sonic Mania, recently revealed a demo for a game they had been working on. The game was a spiritual successor to the Capcom developed Darkwing Duck game on NES, and would feature bosses from the Disney cartoon. It was pitched to Capcom sometime recently, but it wasn't picked up by the company. A 5-minute video of the game was uploaded to YouTube by Stealth, showing off what the game might have been like. A playable version of the demo was also put on Heacannon's official site, for fans to download for themselves. Aaron Sparrow, writer for Darkwing Duck worked alongside Disney comic artist James Silvani for the sprite art in the demo, and there were plans to have voice acting from the original show's cast as well.
