T'was the iPlayer, yes - it was very similar to the DSTwo, as in, it also had an additional CPU but it bombed since it didn't load commercial ROM's.

........I recently bought a 3DS off ebay and found out there were flash cards for it........but the flash cards will only play DS roms. But there's 3ds roms dumped all over the place........

So my question is why is it taking so long to create a product to play roms off of a flash card?........I have heard about the crown 3ds card........

........How can we find out when it is indeed ready and we can play 3ds games off of a flash cart. Let me know guys. I just bought mine and I want to play some games! :)
Oh God, here we go again. Is it safe to say RTFS??? (Read The F***ing Stickies)

Not trying to sound mean, but honestly, they are there for a reason..........

Right It is going hard for us to believe.
3ds ROM DUMPED -- with NO ACCESS to play
The HACKERS get the kernel access -- but NOT ROM or PIRACY.
So, There is much time for us to wait for that (if you expected).
So ~~ Sorry for that reality guys.
Eh....It seems some amusing (wtf i called that amusing) to see men around such a point.
Hey SuzieJobBob, what's your thought about locking the thread, i mean calling someone moderator?

They did.

It failed so hard that most people on GBATemp can't even remember it's name.
Everyone says that they're against piracy and want the 3ds hacked for just homebrew or for the region lock but the temptation of having the ability to play games for free rather than pay for them is too great. It's just human nature to give into piracy.

I tend to call people who say they just want it for homebrew liars.

if the first flashcard to come out would be an iplayer 3ds, i believe it would have quite some success.
but if you release pretty much a flashcard with less functions than all the others for like 50€ (i think thats what they sold the iplayer for on amazon.de)
what do you expect?

This is so cool, every time a thread closes, another respawn. i'm starting to think that mods are making this to keep people visiting this section 'till the hack is released...
just joking, btw, so here's a list of what the next thread must have:

is there any flashcard that plays 3ds roms ?
the hack will be for homebrew only.
piracy are hurting the market
also destroyed the psp
op must be from flashcard company
Leave britney 3DS alone, pirates!

It isn't fun anymore, talking about the same thing every week.

You can't play 3DS roms yet because each is encrypted with their own code (a friggin big one too).
Same with the 3DS firmware (I think); The console is hardwired to check if its a legit firmware, if not it'll give an error message.
That is what the chip decapping is about. (read the stickies, its the prime place to get info about all this).
Guys, the name "pirate" is by far overused; if somebody would steal a game rip it then sell copy's of it, then yeah, I'd call it a pirate. And considering the price of these games it would be a lot of money to spend on something that somebody regrets in the end!
