Hacking State of unbanning for the WiiU?

Hijacking an administrator account is pretty bad. I think it's worse than anything else that takes place around here. Plus, it's much more easily traced.

I still find it quite unfair. Banned for colorhax, and modification of game saves? Modding game saves is understandable, but colorhax is ridiculous. One reason for my ban in Splatoon is using a script that modifies a weapon, I was doing this in a private room, yet still Nintendo does this shit. Maybe because there scared if they/we have it, they/we can't be trusted, I fucking hate that logic, why don't you just ban a hacker if they decide to use it in a real match? This is ridiculous. Obviously there's not like half the population's players of this dying yet still somehow standing game hacking online with super shooters and moon jump, so why the fuck is there a reason to automatically ban a modder in a private match? What does it matter anymore, eventually this will turn into the WFC crisis again and they know it.

Its more stupid if we think about that instead of checking the Time trials and Hackers Online on MK8 they check on private rooms, as probably is "easier" to control. SMH

That pretty much falls under "No modifications, no how" and "our gaff, our rules". Also changing local colours could well be an active game changing cheat if your opponents show up in more readily seen colours. Such a thing is somewhat well documented in PC game circles where you have discussions over macros and allowable field of view and similar things with textures.

Not really... It is very clear without colors since they are already bright enough and designed to be told apart easily.
And that's also why there's a special thing called, color lock

It is better than the likes of doom and quake where the notions first arose with texture modding to gain a competitive edge, however I just skipped through a bunch of videos (should have probably done it in porn mode as now I am probably going to be suggested them) of the game and the players seem to quite often blend in with their paint such that modding could change things. I looked up colour lock and it merely seemed to mean last colours played or teal and orange, possibly for colour blind people, such a thing being different to some of the potential for colour modding.

Remember it's client sided. But honestly, it does not matter about the color. If you are aware of your surroundings you will naturally know when someone is near by, even for new players.

However fractional edge not available to the others in a theoretically competitive game would still count in the cheat or not discussion.

I'm just going to say this.

Imagine you're playing Mario Kart online and someone always has an invincibility start or a bullet bill.

Imagine you're playing Splatoon and just before the timer goes out someone fires off ten inkstrikes.

Imagine you're playing Smash Bros and someone has their character impossibly maxed out and not taking on any damage.

I don't know about you, but if that was me I'd wish that person would die a horrible death. Probably radiation poisoning that doesn't kick in for several months then leaves the person in horrible agony for several years. It's incredibly frustrating playing hard against someone who has an unfair advantage that you cannot overcome no matter how good of a player you are. Sadly I cannot ask to take their photo with an industrial radiography camera, so I would have no choice but to stop playing the game. So would everyone else who is frustrated by the hacker. I'm okay if someone does offline hacking to their heart's content, but never bring that shit online ever. We are all playing together online, and a single hacker can ruin the fun for everyone else.

I have no problem with online hacking in unranked/private games if everybody is OK with it -- most online games seem to enjoy their progression rather than everybody is crazy right off the bat. I have no problem with things that do not confer an advantage and I could also get to those that might be troubled otherwise (no problem someone changing something if they are colourblind and the list goes on). Equally it can be funny as you like to have something happen via cheats -- if you don't always have to play super serious and can occasionally have some fun (remember that? Probably not from an online game but hey) then a cheat could be part of that.

Of course I don't play online games and derive no enjoyment from watching others play games so I don't care in the slightest either way, however if I have to cook up some flavour of morality then I will go with the above as a start
