Attach the white pillars to a stake and put the stake on the hammer looking thing near where the ball falls down. Then run back up to where the orange/green crystal is and hit it. Basically think of it like hitting a baseball with a bat.

Hi everyone , anyone know where the paraglider is ?
they are all over the place after you beat the cold shrine (in the spots where they are meant to be "launched" from). In the pot thingy up there where you toss in the parts, extras come out of that capsule thing, as well (the parts you pick up after killing one of the mechanical enemies).

Me personally? I couldn't figure out how to get to the cold shrine without trickery. What looked like the correct way was a dead-end, because of not being able to climb icy walls. I ended up finding a spot with 3 floaty platform things and just built a ladder all the way up to the start of the game, then attached a fan and floated all the way across to the tower. That took a while to do. And... the darn platform thing started flashing (it does this before disappearing when either you go out of bounds with it, or are out of bounds for too long... not sure... but I managed a running start and was able to catch the side and climb up it, to the shrine. Slipped at first, and thought it was an icy wall, and I was a goner... but I was able to climb anyway. All without cheats. Now that I'm down in Hyrule, I have no clue where to go, since I figure it's pointless going directly to the next "Zelda" quest point... because it looks like it's in the Castle, which I imagine is the end game...

What a rant. And I only started typing to ask... how did everyone else make it up to the snow shrine?

This is actually a lot more linear than BOTW, so you should follow the quest markers. It'll be pretty obvious when you can just sorta go off and do your own thing (you'll have a similar task to that of how BOTW played with 4 objectives).

Lookout Landing. It's the first place you'll see once you're back on the ground.
Thank you , I litterally just got to the surface, i'll search the lookout once i'm back from work. What direction do you suggest I go I want to get good gear :D
I found a huge crater of malice but I can't go inside it yet

This is a long shot, but try to use Cheat Engine or Edizon (depending on what you are playing on). Every heart of health that Link has is equivalent to the numeric value of 4, meaning every quarter of a heart lost is 1 hp. If you can pin-point which addresses affect your health and freeze it, you may be able to be immune to the stuff on the ground
Tbh. i'd probably just find a fairy or 2, multiply them, and you're essentially have Full Heals everywhere.
If you're on cheat engine anyways. Why complicate things?

how to get fast travel?
It's part of the opening story, so you can't miss it. You get it after you finish all 3 of the first 3 shrines and try to open the door in the temple of time, and are told there is a 4th shrine to do, in order to be able to open the door (but isn't clear that the REAL requirement is to have 4 blessings to exchange for an extra heart container).

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
    +1
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds

It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
