Splatoon is getting a spinoff game. Announced alongside a content update for Splatoon 3 was Splatoon Raiders, a game where you play as a mechanic exploring the Spirhalite Islands for materials. Beyond that, Splatoon 3 will be getting a Switch 2 update on June 12, adding new weapons, a throwback stage, and more.

Splatoon is fun, but there is only so much online multiplayer I can really stomach

If it's indeed a singleplayer game, I might actually be interested in it. I always thought that Splatoon looked great, but I missed out on it when it came to Wii-U and I feel like that was really the time to enjoy the multiplayer.

Would be cool to play it with a mouse and probably will happen as that's NS2 gimmick.

NS1's gimmick was HD Rumble and that died off quickly.
