that is what a9lh is supposed to do, however if done incorrectly it will brick, which is why they recommend a hardmodSo now you Directly boot into emunand?

Oh well. Sounds quite nice but I'll wait a bit till the initial brick phase blows over. Maybe then. But well menuhax works so well right now I don't really see a need for it.Yes.

there might not just be an initial brick rate, because you are required to downgrade to 2.1 with a blind emunandOh well. Sounds quite nice but I'll wait a bit till the initial brick phase blows over. Maybe then. But well menuhax works so well right now I don't really see a need for it.

N3DS, since Reinand official runs only on N3DS.
Pros:
Cons:
- 100% boot rate (also cleaner since it doesn't have to bother booting up stuff from the sysNAND, crash it, then turn around and boot into emuNAND, it just boots emuNAND directly)
- ~8 second boot time into emuNAND, versus ~20 or so via MenuHax
- Super Stable 3D works out of the box with no need for lid trickery
- Obvious brick risk if you mess up or the flashing doesn't work right
- You can't use sysNAND again for now, until something like a boot manager is released (or unless you restore a NAND backup from before installing A9LH, but without graphics capabilities right now, that's tricky)
a9lh is supported by gateway yet and probably wont be for a while, you'll only be able to use reinand with itThe A9LH is your gateway to true cold booting without having to use a boot manager etc... since it uses a emunand no worries about bans
So basically it would be better to wait for a way to switch between sys and emu. But I don't even use my sysNand. I'm just trying to justify doing it. Currently I have my main account formatted off my 3ds and using a technically fake one to browse the store etc... on my emunand. The A9LH is your gateway to true cold booting without having to use a boot manager etc... since it uses a emunand no worries about bans. All the perks of emunand without worrying about messing up sysnand. If you update past the supported fw of reinand would you have to wait for it to get support for it to boot again?

if that's what he meant, my bad for spreading bad infoI think he meant gateway as in a doorway, not the flashcart.

I didnt mean to use the term gateway, I meant like the entrance not the software. My bada9lh is supported by gateway yet and probably wont be for a while, you'll only be able to use reinand with it
Does this give out less crashes when, for an example, booting into homebrew via cia or other forms of hacks? Or just no crashes for emunand (stabilizes it)?Right now, yes, there's not an insane amount to gain aside from better boot speeds and boot rates. And unless Nintendo changes the keys for FIRM again (or did some other weird trickery that they probably won't do), updating emuNAND should never be an issue again, since Rei coded in automatic searching for the things it needs, regardless of FIRM version.

No it's my bad for being unable to interpret what you meantI didnt mean to use the term gateway, I meant like the entrance not the software. My bad
I heard the only way it wont boot is if the emunand corruptsemuNAND will crash and reboot the console if the homebrew's crash is bad enough, but it doesn't matter, the boot rate with A9LH is 100% (or at least, extremely high, I have yet to see it fail to boot).
So if anything HB wise crashed etc..., it basically automatically restarts the system for another reattempt? Would A9LH possible offer better stabilization for HB in the future?emuNAND will crash and reboot the console if the homebrew's crash is bad enough, but it doesn't matter, the boot rate with A9LH is 100% (or at least, extremely high, I have yet to see it fail to boot).

Edit: but you can still restore the emunand fix it like normal?
I heard the only way it wont boot is if the emunand corrupts
That's what I meant by restarting. Because I use a few HB apps that have consistent crash rates right now. When it crashes it will automatically restart my 3ds correct? So I should treat it like my normal sysnand like I do now.it's not arm9loaderhax that reboots it, it's the FIRM itself; it detects that a game or homebrew crashed, and if it's bad enough, it'll say "An error has occurred. The system will now restart." or something along those lines.
Probably, but keeping regular emuNAND backups is always a good idea, so nothing will be lost.
Also... not related to Reinand but....
EVERYONE STOP FUCKING PM'ING ME!!! For the love of god! STOP!
I was polite enough not to, just tagged you a few times
If anyone with an arm9loader manages to get Rei to boot straight into sysnand I'd appreciate a quick message on how you managed it.

Totally didn't see your tags amongst the chaos hahaI was polite enough not to, just tagged you a few times
