Hacking Soundhax in 2018? help :(

I want to know if i can update my old 3ds cause i used the soundhax to install the homebrew channel a long time ago, actually i found my old console in my room after months without see it, its in version 11.2 and i can´t use the multiplayer options of any game because i need to update it but i don´t want to lose the homebrew, please if somebody knows if somehow i can update it tell me

No no! Don't update the firmware. Stay on v11.2 and follow the guide @SpiffyJUNIOR recommends. Forgot the seedminer stuff.

If you have Ocarina of Time or Sticker Star, then you can install oot3dhax or stickerhax with the 11.7 payload, and then upgrade your 3DS. (Just make sure you have the right payload installed first!) Or you can upgrade to 11.7, download Steel Diver: Sub Wars from the eShop, and then use SteelMiner. Or you can just install cfw, as previously mentioned.

But on newer firmware, soundhax is dead, dead, dead.

Wait, if you have Freeshop, then aren't you already running custom firmware? Are you still using the 3DS Sound app to start the launcher every time?

Try that one first in case if it's still possible to install custom firmware. Dunno about soundhax being dead for a system on older firmware.

If it doesn't work, you're left with seedminer method spending US $2.

After updating to Luma3DS v9.0 , boot9strap v1.3, and GodMode9 v1.6.3 , to get homebrew launcher working again you'll need to use Rosalina Menu HBL injectior:

download the latest luma 3ds and replace the boot.firm on your SD https://github.com/AuroraWright/Luma3DS/releases
and you said you have always been accessing homebrew through soundhax theres no need for that when you can just install the hbloader CIA to your home menu with FBI https://github.com/yellows8/hblauncher_loader/releases

I felt like we might have confused you with so many suggestions in hacking your 3DS when it was already hacked. LMAO.

Yes, your folders and files seems like the new b9s CFW. But to play this safe, can you go into System Settings and check if it says "Sys 11.2.0-35u" ?

Since your 3DS is already hacked, check out that YouTube tutorial in how to use Rosalina Menu homebrew menu injector first.

You can elect to either first update to v11.7 firmware and then update to boot9srap (if it's older). Either order should be fine.

When you turn on the 3DS, hold the (Select) button. See if this appears.

The reason why you might not see Sys is because it's not selected as (x) Show NAND or user string in System Settings

Actually OP needs to follow https://3ds.guide/updating-b9s

The version of B9S where Luma 7.1 works is incompatible with Luma 9.0. Dragging and dropping a newer boot.firm won't help.

@Melrose14 you can actually just go ahead and update your console, the Luma version you have is compatible with 11.7. But if you want to have less chance of running into problems in future better to update B9S and Luma (by following the above link).

soundhax.com is working fine for me. If the browser tries to play the "audio" file you have to right click → "save as"
