This was an unexpected move, I had didn't think Sony would cut them off considering the game had
some success (The Vita version wasn't successful at all for obvious reasons). This happened a few days after Sony laid off some of the employees over at Superbot.

I assumed the PS3 did a little better compared to the horrible Vita sales.

Both the vita and ps3 versions together only sold about 0.5 million, so not very surprising.

Who are most of the characters in it?
And what makes it any special?
Those were the main points to why it failed,
I'll continue playing Tekken Tag Tournament 2 or Super Smash as my 4 player fighter of choice thanks.

I forgot the "s" at the end of "Creator".
    Am I going to die?

    Yikes

Sony certainly know how to drop it like it's hot.

That's a shame... the idea of an at least somewhat successful "competitor" to Super Smash Bros. was interesting, to say the least.

not surprised that it sold so poorly; the game was full of disc locked content and pay to play content, not something that anyone would buy especially asking for $60 only for half of the game to not be on the disc.
I hope game developers learn from this, and I also hope that gamers start to vote with their wallet when it comes to practices such as this.

I didn't even know that. They should have know that wouldn't help anything.

I finally got to play it at a store too. I thought the game was alright.

    Sony thread?

The game wasn't all that great (saying they dropped the ball on balance would imply they had to begin with), but it was far from horrible. It was just about the gaming equivalent of lukewarm milk. Still, that's just not enough - you flop, you're dropped, evidently.

EDIT: As far as DLC goes, isn't the "locked" content just alternate costumes? It's getting additional characters for free, and that's the only thing that really matters.

It's interesting how they're cutting ties with the current creators when they began hiring for a sequel in December. Perhaps the series will live on, but under different management.

Love that .gif, also a great episode.

They could have cancelled those plans after realizing how unprofitable All Stars was.

I played the beta a while back.
It wasn't that good but at the same time not bad either.
I'm still going to buy it but not for the $60 price tag.
