Welp, that answers one of the questions I had(but never asked) about being possible to use my phone instead of my PC(in case I was away from it). Glad to see it is. :)

Just saw this on my twitter feed. I guess this will require a USB C to micro USB cable, rather than the traditional cable you get.

If you can run linux (android) you can do anything :P
Also, on 1.0.0 you can launch it from pegaswitch.

Oh yeah, forgot about the software version for 1.0.0'ers(which I am one of). It's been a crazy week with work and trying to keep up with these releases.

You could use a cheap OTG adapter on the USB-A side.

I'm surprised I haven't seen people trying Ubuntu Touch for this kinda thing lol, might finally give that God-forsaken OS a use.

My only way of using fusée gelée at this point is dock USB to micro-usb on android, and it looks like that might be possible

I used a micro usb otg cable and a usb A to C type for that test.
I also tested a micro usb otg to usb micro and an adapter to usb C.

(Shout out to the dev David Buchanan. Great job!)

There is a small chance it will work on non-rooted devices too, stay tuned (But don't get your hopes up *too* much)

It's very easy to pick up a cheap phone and root it now a days.

  17. I'm not buying another device to carry around just for this.

Looks like I'm putting Linux on my old Surface 1.

  18. 90% sure that Android can't support such USB interfaces without root, and even if it that was the case you will need a unlocked bootloader to flash a patched kernel (at that point there is no reason not have a rooted device)

You need it in Linux hence the "sudo" when running the payload.

Well actually, I am now 100% sure that android can, so watch this space :P
