Those are rare. Just get an otg adapter or a phone with type c and a type c to type c cable

My only way of using fusée gelée at this point is dock USB to micro-usb on android, and it looks like that might be possible

I used a micro usb otg cable and a usb A to C type for that test.
I also tested a micro usb otg to usb micro and an adapter to usb C.

great I Have an OTG cable and an a to c cable. and a rooted phone. I'm absolutely ready for coding and debugging on the go!

90% sure that Android can't support such USB interfaces without root, and even if it that was the case you will need a unlocked bootloader to flash a patched kernel (at that point there is no reason not have a rooted device)

You need it in Linux hence the "sudo" when running the payload.
