why bother with an uninstaller? just downgrade/upgrade your wii to get a clean 3.2.

Probably because cSSM doesn't get installed tot the same path as the systemmenu.

Amen, I'd be glad if they don't respond to a single post in this thread from here on out. Let them do what they gotta do to get CSSM out. Get a stable base going and then add more bells and whistles.

the only thing you need to change is replacing "fat:" by "sd:" or "usb:" when you are opening files

If there are a lot of instances where he needs to do that though, surely that's annoying? and it's just another thing he has to do I guess.

Anyway, looking forward to this coming out, I don't care how long it takes, it will be worth the wait.

if that's all there was to it, it would've been very simple, no matter how many times he has to change it. all he has to do is use the replace function in any text editor, including notepad.

it was more or less a breath of frustration because the newer libogc broke tons of already working code I had written and now have to rewrite. (the fat change was more of a small annoyance compared to the rest).

And i wasnt actually pissed lol.

by the way fors, i dont wanna ask too many questions but i'm really curiuse...
about the 6x...
will it be possible?

NEVER
Great answer

But not accurate....
It is possible. Just not for us at this point.
It has been done.... Look through the right irc logs and you will see it admitted to....
But for the rest of us.... we won't see it until bootmii comes out, as then one of our start programmers can gain access to the security, if ever. For anyone who think 6x is a critical thing.... Buy a mod chip and stop bugging everyone about it. It will happen when it happens, if ever.

NEVER

NEVER as in:
- NEVER load Backups without a modchip
- NEVER be able to connect a Harddisk to the Wii
- NEVER load Gamecube Backups
- NEVER modify Games
- NEVER use SDHC
- NEVER $insertwhatyouwant

?

can you say why?

kimikal no one has access to the wii dvd firmware other than twiizers. maybe bootmii will allow us to access it, until then its not possible as the firmware has dvd mode hard coded to only play at 3x

ok , yes i understand but, but you spoke about bootmii, that can be a door, it was sayed before that backup loading in wii was impossible and still...

i tend to be positive about these software thing, think i have some motives

but yes DD i know that it's something that just any one can do, at least not at this moment but fors could have magic hands

play mario galaxy, quantum of solace,my sims...
the list goes on...

QUOTEConclusion:
From our test we have found no difference between 3x and 6x drive speeds. Unlike the XBOX 360 games where load times and sometimes game play is effected from drive speed because of the rich content, the Wii games seem to make no difference. We have tested several other games like Mario Galaxy, Sonic and the Secret Rings, Call of Duty and found similar results. Hopefully this has cleared up some of the confusion as several people seem to just buy certain modchips based on the number of features to believe that this whole drive speed makes a difference.

used to be 3.2 back in the day, still have that work laying around.

My most recent work is based on 3.4. Everything is incorporated including a small patch to remove the TPhack checks so twilight hack can be installed freely again (it wont be deleted on boot either anymore). Lots of surprises. Im a fan of 3.4 because its up to date and the SD card copying etc are MUCH faster. You can consider it a homebrew safe 3.4 :]
Can you guys make one compatible with the next update? (The next update is the one with the storage solution, you can play stuff off the SD card)
