robiul... as the wii is now NO, however with some modifications im working on YES

This will install over anything you currently have from the explanation i've been given by fors, so no need to upgrade or downgrade... To the person who said simple batch file... takes far more than that to safely institute the menu changes/skins into dashboard etc. We have to completely rewrite the app installers as we want it to be automatic, no user intervention other than selecting the skin they want from the screen shot library.

Can you tell me if there will be an option to get all of the technical benefits without any of the visual changes? I might be in the minority here but I'm quite fond of Nintendo's work on the Wii GUI....

And, to be clear, is this going to patch the custom DIP module into all IOSes as part of the installation or do you have another solution to that problem?

yeah you can also access Dashboard by using the reset button on the wii, i forgot to mention it. I mean, not everyone has GC controllers, i got you guys

. Also the Theme aspect of cSSM and Dashboard means you can use the official "skin" resources, the default cSSM look which digs is working very hard on, or something someone else creates (should be fun!).

Bear in mind, this functionality will be added when we're content with what we have now, and are ready to indulge more in the visual aspects of the menu.

You'll all see it when its released. Meanwhile I have to update all my friggin code for the libfat update recently. man im pissed.

Couple more questions. Will we be required to install cIOS before CSSM, or have you found some other way around the signing bug fix? Second, will your backup loader work like CIOSCORP, where real disks automatically load at 6x and backups load at 3x, or will all games run at 3x (unless you press a button or something like you discussed earlier in the case of running backups with a modchip at 6x)?

but what about uninstalling it.
let's imagine I have a hardware prob with my box and want to ship it to the big N.. can I uninstall and clean the box ?

Very excited to hear news on this. I had to stop checking here for updates because I was driving myself mad while Fors didn't have a Wii and was on holiday for a bit.

Anyway, I'm with you on the uninstallation. I know people argue that you won't need to and this and that, but I don't like feeling locked into anything. I'm pretty sure it was addressed when this was brought up before, but I don't remember the answer because I have a horrible memory. I think Fors mentioned being able to make it update back to an official, unpatched IOS.
