I have a few of my backup games when ripped to hard drive using usb loader will not return to the system menu when pressing the home button.
Instead it will cut off the video feed, black screen and my tv will display the component signal as if there is no video feed and i will have to hold the (green) power button for several seconds to turn off the console (turns red).
This happens no mater how many times I rip the backups to the hard drive.
I find this strange as the games will work fine when running from disc.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is it just a bad backup in the first place?
Any help or thoughts on this matter would be greately appreciated.

Hm.. Well, I may not be 100% correct, but not all games work correctly with USB Loaders. I do believe there was a compatibility list somewhere; check and see if there's a problem with the games you're playing.

Also, it could be a region problem, but I don't think you would've been able to get the ISOs in the first place that way. Just checking.

It happens. Try different loaders, no real way to fix it right now, some games won't even start let alone return to sys menu. That is of higher priority.

This right here. USB Loader is a WIP. So far maybe 80% of the games I have tried work properly. It's good, but it's not great. Give it time, the Wii scene is just picking up steam.

This happens to me too.

But i fixed it by forcing NTSC in the usb loader as my Wii is NTSC.

The games that cannot return to system menu by pressing home are all
PAL in my case. NTSC games can all return to Wii Menu with no issues.
The "PAL"s load fine but when i press Wii Menu. It'll show the black screen
with nothing on it. I guess you could try forcing video modes too as that fixed my
problem for all the games

Hope that helps

Yes, I have the same problem if it is a PAL game that I am playing on my NTSC console. I just deal with it.

This is correct. However, some games (such as Little King's Story) will not allow you to force NTSC. If your TV will run it in PAL, it will play fine, but everything goes to hell when you exit the game. Best bet is just to shut down the system when you are done playing one of these games rather than exiting to the menu.

For some games pressing reset WILL TAKE YOU TO THE SYSTEM MENU! AS for there is no fix ,this is a sort of fix, I just press reset for most games(home menu) and voila wii menu.
