Hi Guys,

after hours and hours I am hitting a brick wall on my wii...
I followed the softmod instructions and got to the point where I need to install the cIOS38.
I start it as a network install and in the last installation step it returns with an error message saying the following:

Installing custom ios
install error ret:-1035

Can someone help me out with this? I don't know what I am doing wrong...

Thanks.

Re-installing an IOS249 that ISN'T a stub will help you

Nintendo originally didn't use IOS249. Nintendo's only purpose for using IOS249 was just to stop the running of homebrew.

cIOS38rev16 installs as cios249 slot on your wii. just do TBR to bug your ios36 for you to install ciOS38rev16 (aka249rev16)

btw.: in installing cIOS38rev16, use the bugged ios36.
