Wonderful news of course. For owners of LU64s like me nothing like it.

skarface, what happened to letting me test it out? I don't have wifi access and desperately need this to work offline.

The people of this "section" live on the old:

great work its been enjoyable to see Softmii grow.
all the above posters you like it, take it, use it and enjoy it its only gonna get better
the rest
Shut the fuck up dont use it and dont comment simple this site fills with more smartass little shits everyday nowonder people are pissing off to other forums or just simply dont bother posting much nowdays.

fucking pathetic is all i can say

thats right! everyone who hates on softmii so much should just STFU and not use it...
there are noobs that need it and if it wasnt for softmii you would have all those noobs comming to this forum and tripple posting their problems and expecting help...
instead they go to softmii forums... plus it helps them...
and since when is something that can help someone bad? just because you dont like it...
you asses are filled with too much hot air... who do you think you are?
the world doesnt need you to keep going, it doesnt need me either... so get over yourselves...

some of these things are impossible without internet collectedsoul

In this case I don't think "offline" means without Internet, it means without the Wii having a working wifi connection. Anything that the Wii can download can be downloaded on a computer, packed into a WAD (if necessary) and added to an SD card. The apps (if coded to do so) can use the content from the SD card instead of downloading it from the NUS servers. They're still "legal" because the apps don't contain the content, they just make use of it however it is provided.

So I don't think it's correct to say they are "impossible".

The offline install method for the LU64 users has not been tested so I can not say if it will work offline or not at this point. I will find out by later on this evening hopefully.

I wanted to ask something. Will the new SoftMii work with a virgin (unhacked) 4.0U NTSC Wii?

No, not until someone finds a way to install homebrew on a Virgin Wii. I've been trying to get in touch with Comex to help him out, but..... he's a hard person to get a hold of.

@skarface or anyone else from the softmii team

will the new softmii install if I have a wired internet connection and not wifi?

of course it will!

Where I live, it is April 24 at 3:30 in the afternoon. Is it going to be released later today, or are you in another part of the world where it is earlier?
